formerly33 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Author Posted June 4, 2016 Um, who's prohibiting anything? It's just typical of most threads on TD ... hone in on a singular peripheral and miss the topic all together.Yeah, and while that's discouraged in other threads, it's okay in game threads. For instance, this reminds me of a strange incident at Wal-Mart last week. I was about to check out a large bag of Nutrisource Weight Management dog food for our four pooches when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had ... an elephant? So on impulse, I told her that no, actually I didn't have a dog; I was starting the Nutrisource Diet again, though I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital the last time around. On the bright side, though, I'd lost 50 pounds before I woke up in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet, and the way it works is to load your pants pockets with Nutrisource kibbles and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry, and because the food is nutritionally complete, I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no; I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's ass and a car hit us both. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard! WAL-MART won't let me shop there anymore.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Okay, yeah, that was an error by Kepler but hardly over the top bad. Yesterday the rays OF had a fairly easy can of corn bounce off his glove and roll away turning an out into a inside the park HR and that was not scored an error.

David HK Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Ride the wave DK, I am hoping you have Saturday off, if not, fake your way through it.Actually do have Saturday off today- but busy later--First it's HK vs. Korea nat'l team in rugby: Then, after that, it's over to Victoria Park with a couple hundred thousand friends to remember the massacre in Tiananmen Square. This is from last year:
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 ESPN Gamecast helpfully informs us that Suzuki is 1-4 lifetime vs..... Rickie Nolasco. Good to know if the Twins finally go Amok TIme on each other later in the season. http://www.treknews.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/spock-amok-time.jpg
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 That's some solid bullpen management by Molitor!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Since when do mods prohibit off-topic comments in game threads? I think I got warned about going overboard with baseball stats once. Does that count? Pretty sure that counts.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 My sister is coming in from out of town next week. She said, "let's get some Twins tickets while I'm in Minneapolis visiting." I said, "no reason to buy tickets. We can find them on the sidewalk out in front of the stadium or in various gas station toilets around town."
Jham Verified Member Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Molitor has had this way of pushing all the wrong buttons this year... Jepsen is Jepsen, but he's your closer and the games at home and it's the 9th inning... Saving him for that rare extra innings home-save.
