Yes! At about 75 pitches, nobody on, 1 out. The bullpen then imploded.

I don't think he pulled himself from the game is what I'm getting at, the decision was made for him, just like the decision for him to keep starting is.

NICE! - Santana runs a post pattern and still makes the throw.  Great!

I think it was the stop and go, followed by the post and ending with the curl route.

Y'know, things do look a little less dark than usual.

Twinks usually don't stop at just giving up the tying run in that situation.

Now, let's mash that hipster beard right offa this guy....

I thought the word was that he asked out. If I'm wrong it certainly wouldn't be the 100th time

It worked, too, that safety wasn't even in the picture when he made that catch.

Gol dang it-  how nice is it to be all the way into the 7th, and still be in a battle for the win...

Small pleasures, I guess, but pleasures nonetheless.

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Seattle Mariners fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they were Mariners fans, too.
Not really knowing what a Mariners fan was, but wanting to be like their teacher, hands explode into the air. There is, however, one exception. A girl named Mary has not gone along with the crowd.
The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. "Because I'm not a Mariners fan."
"Then," asks the teacher, "what are you?"
"Why I'm proud to be a Twins fan", boasts the little girl.
The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Mary why she is a Twins fan.
"Well, My Dad and Mom are Twins fans, and I'm a Twins fan, too!"
The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly. "What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron, What would you be then?"
A pause, and a smile. "Then," says Mary, "I'd be a Mariners fan."

Oh, I almost forgot!  Stopped at the local brew house, and filled up the growler.

It's taken so long for the craft-brew thing to catch up here in HK, but like every other popular thing, once it gets going, it just explodes- now there's a ton of places, whereas a year ago, there were maybe 2.

Edit--  Just in time for a run-scoring toast!

I just caught up with tonight's thread and the game -- both have been entertaining.

If only he wasn't so fat and worked harder.

Hey!  That was the same post I made about Hrbek, in the daze before the interwebs-  I think I still have that tablet around someplace...

With the way the Twins have played this year, I don't think this is quite right.

I think that the Twins should move to the west coast.  They could get a better owner and the home games would start at a more convenient time.

So, in his first appearance as a Twin, Buddy Boshers has to hold a one run lead in the 7th inning...

Yikes. That's all I can say.
