gmarais66 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Remember a couple years ago how everyone got upset when Dave St. Peter implied that the 25th man on the roster didn't make much of a difference? Well Michael Tonkin was the 25th guy and he has been the only awesome thing about this team, yet he clearly hasn't made a difference, because this team still stinks. Sooooo, I think everyone owes DSP an apology, he was totally right.Apparently you missed Tonkin's performance last night. Not awesome.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I've been thinking about Money Monster but I haven't seen any of these. Whatever you do, don't go see Sicilian Vampire.Terrible, just terrible, almost makes be wish I watched Nolasco pitch today.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 What's everyone's highlight from this series? Mine's when Dozier didn't catch that ball & Sano overran it! \m/
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Michael Tonkin was the 25th guy and he has been the only awesome thing about this teamI can think of at least two things wrong with that sentence.

gocgo Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 What's everyone's highlight from this series? Mine's when Dozier didn't catch that ball & Sano overran it! \m/Yeah! Should have actually been 2 errors on one play.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Mr. Molitor, HUH?? Molitor said Rosario got caught up in the moment and did something that "doesn't have a lot of impact on the game."
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 The wheels have fallen off, and the manager is gassed. He should just step aside for his health, rather than suffer through all of the rest of this mess.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Yeah! Should have actually been 2 errors on one play. That's one way to hit the quota without lengthening the game. On another depressing note, as mentioned before the Twins have been swept in 8 three-game series, pending the outcome of a rain makeup. The MLB team swept in the most 3 game series last season was the Phillies. They were swept 10 times. All season.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Well, I think Seth suggested the outfield of the future, Rosario, Buxton and Kepler, should play together in AAA this year. The season is over and done with at this point, might as well start working on next year. Grossman would be filler until Kepler et al came up.Playing those guys at AAA does nothing for the future. There is no amount of AAA that can prepare a guy for mlb pitching. The longer they stay down there, the further we kick the can down the road. These guys will struggle initially if they had 5000 AAA at bats! Get the struggles out of the way this year, not throw away next year too.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Maybe the Papa John's / Twins Win promotion should change to pizza discounts when the Twins score more than so many runs per game. Make it a progressive promotion. Start at zero runs, 1, 2,3, 4 and cap it at 5. The Philadelphia 76ers made that compromise a couple of years ago when they were a terrible basketball team. If they scored 90 points in a game, the promotion was in play. The Twins are going to have to figure it out.. Thank god for the Lynx! Otherwise there would rarely be discounted pizza in the Twin Cities!
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Dozier would die of dehydration inside a Portajon trying to pull the door open instead of going the other way. Not really, there's all that blue Kool Aid in there to sip!
