Yep

What kind of bloke was he? The drummers and the bass players are usually the guys with a sense of humor.

Come on, bullpen, close this out-  I can't watch Vlad and Arkady's broadcast anymore, I gotta finish my script-

Heh... adapting Orson Welles' War of the Worlds to Hong Kong for my drama class.  OMG, the poor village of Ping Che-  the new Grover's Mill...

WoW Welles

On the other hand, Fien's outing may be scarier, maybe I should just do a transcript of that.

Hey RB, unfortunately my wife wants me to watch "Revenant" with her. We'll have to postpone this for another date. But we will get it done eventually!!! :)

Make sure you agree on a safe word before you play any variation of 'Angry Bear and Unarmed Woodsman' afterward.

There's got to be an island somewhere in the middle of the ocean where we can send the Mountain Dew advertising team and that damn Rihanna song to while away their days in total isolation.

Think there'd be room for Casey Fien?

Free idea for your War of the Worlds... The aliens look just like really nice washing machines, invading laundromats all over the world. At first it was just a stray sock, some underwear... Then dogs and cats, then people... Problem is, they do such a nice job getting stains out, you just hate to tell them they can't stay here on Earth...

"But Garth, that thing ate my grandmother!"

"I know Lydia, but have you seen my bluejeans? It actually got the grass stains out. They haven't looked this good in years!"

After Kurt hurt his back they had a shot of the dugout and Mauer was strapping on some gear. I was like "no fu@&ing way!!!" But it turned out it was his foul ball gear for his foot

Honestly... it's always hard to get a true sense on anyone in that situation and it was a long time ago. They were all decent...Joe did most of the talking... I remember that. I don't believe Steve Clark was there but that probably wasn't a surprise.

Nobody is really themselves in those situations. They can pretend to have a good time just to project that personality because it's part of the job.

I'll tell you one guy who was legitimately and honestly... a good guy.

Ted Nugent

He comes in and joins you. Whatever you are doing... He jumps in... He asks where the best local food is?

I'm not really into his politics so I was very surprised.

I remember asking him this question on the air.

What happened to the Guitar Hero? There was you... Page... Eddie Van Halen... Clapton... My God... We knew who Gary Richrath was and is?

Today... nobody can name a guitar player anymore... Why is that?

So I ask him that question and he answers it's all Obama's Fault. Nobody cares anymore... it's the society that he has created.

It was really hard to ask the next question because I was trying so hard not to laugh.

It's always knuckle chewing time with Fien in there, but he got it done. Whew!

Whew-  well, we got through the inning with Fien in it-  now let's see if we can hold a 4-run lead in the ninth---

Wow. You and I have something in common. I too interviewed the Nuge, he was indeed a great interview, and a surprisingly decent chap. He was actually concerned about getting the interview right during the pre-interview- mind you this was at a little 5,000 watt station. We stayed mostly away from politics and discussed other things important to him. But he had no problem taking the trip down memory lane to the days of the Detroit hard rock scene in the late 60s. He actually thanked me for a great interview, and shocked me a few days later when there were two signed LPs sent 2nd day delivery, entirely unsolicited.

I don't know any Rihanna songs.

And no that isn't an invitation to introduce me to them.

Talking about that "derp derp derp" one they keep playing in the stadium for some reason.
