gil4 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Not news, breaking or otherwise. But he can play a little. His batting average is only .295, though. He'll never be a star unless he consistently gets that over .300. Maybe if he bunts for a few hits and stops trying to hit HRs all the time... http://i2.wp.com/listverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Sarcasm-MEter-e1374191031934.jpg?resize=632%2C234

Boom Boom Verified Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 He's good, no doubt. He's even better when the bases are loaded... and when a team with a bad bullpen brings in one of their September call-ups to pitch to him, look out.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 And he's a spokesperson for Subway now, too.
Sarah Verified Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 He'll be okay once he figures it out...
sane Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 What's with the Angels and FISH?They had (Tim) Salmon. Now they have (Mike) Trout. And they have always had MANY players who were called Crappie(s).

Rumor has it they really want Mike Carp to provide great fishing depth off the bench.....
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Signing Jeff Samardzija (Shark) this winter would add needed fishing power to the rotation as well.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I had a guy at work today tell me he thought Trout was a top ten player in the game today.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I had a guy at work today tell me he thought Trout was a top ten player in the game today.Eh, maybe. Top ten is stretching it a bit.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Eh, maybe. Top ten is stretching it a bit.Would you at least grant he'd be somewhere knocking on the door of the top ten on the team, if the Twins somehow acquired him?

The Twins had a Trout too. If the Twins front office had given him a call asking, "How's your boy; we just drafted him," this would be a better topic.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Would you at least grant he'd be somewhere knocking on the door of the top ten on the team, if the Twins somehow acquired him?Maybe the fourth best CF on the team. Maybe.
gil4 Verified Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Would you at least grant he'd be somewhere knocking on the door of the top ten on the team, if the Twins somehow acquired him?Like we don't have enough 4th-OF types alreadyedit - I see Brock and I were on the same page; he just got there a couple of days before I did.
DJSim22 Provisional Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Can we take Plouffe for him? Maybe add Duensing as a sweetener?
