Sheesh, I'm getting piled on for not liking bases loaded with 1 out on the first inning? You guys must all be drunk............or maybe that's me.

Sorry. I didn't mean to pile on...

Now that you mention it, 1 out and bases load isn't usually a good omen. Especially in the first.

The Lob  in Lobstein is quite prophetic.

Like Grant 'Ball Four', or the various pitchers named 'Walker' in the game's history, it's not a surname that screams 'Destined for MLB greatness'.

I'm thinking about a couple more things.

1. With the Game on in Michigan on regular ole TV... I'm not watching a delay like normal... I'm watching as it happen and I really missed that.

2. The TIgers TV Announcers are exceptional. Rod Allen is a very good color guy. Personality and Baseball Smart. It's like if Tom Kelly had personality.

3. As much as I complain about Eastern Time and How Late Twins Games go here. I can't complain any more with the Vikings starting at 10:15

I think their radio guys are top notch as well.

Here's a Riverbrian Playoff Fantasy Baseball  Circus Boy Update:

I've got both Nola and Zimmerman pitching for me tonight. The Score is 6-6 and it's Monday.

I guess I'll be streaming pitchers until Sunday.

You know, I really like close, tight baseball games.  But I really like knocking the other team's pitcher out in the second, too.  In fact, I like it a lot.  Yesterday we let the pitcher make it through the third, but that was Chris Sale so that's understandable.

Have a quick 3rd, Tyler.

Done. So how do we know whether saying something like this is a jinx or not? Could it be that it's just a bunch of superstitious hooey? Or have I just jinxed the jinxes and anti-jinxes by speaking ill of superstitions?

If after the opening series against the Tigers last April, if you were told, when these teams meet in mid-September one of these teams will be in the central cellar the other will be in serious play-off contention, how many people would have predicted the Tigers being the cellar team and the Twins being the play-off contender?

[i know you should not put too much weight in April baseball but I was not feeling overly confident about the season at the time -- I was very knee-jerk]

Didn't fully appreciate all the twisted string involved, nor did i appreciate the jump to the next harmonic.

But i'm proud o' myself in figurin' out basically how it worked...

Thanks!

Imagine 50,000 Twins fans in the playoffs getting out their Lune Tune's when the Twins have the bases loaded.  That would be something.....
