This leads to the question ... will E-San go home after the game and read the GT?

Maybe not tonight... Those guys are probably on the way to somewhere to hang with family for the break.

Any other night... especially on road trips... When they got time to kill in a hotel room... They probably bounce around TD and may even read the game threads.

Unless they figured out that we rarely talk baseball on the game thread.

I'm OK with the caught stealing. If you got wheels... you should wheel.

Absolutely.  I like the aggressive base running.  Sure....guys get thrown out some of the time....but we have also put guys into scoring position and have capitalized.

The aggressive base running also keep opposing pitchers on their toes.  Not a bad thing.

Was that in "True Grit" or "Sands of Iwo Jima"?

The Duke the character, not the actor.

(and i thought i was funny not specifyin')

In the comic opera Patience by Gilbert and Sullivan.

And stuff seems to be happening in the game whilst i type...

Good stuff.

I love Bad Jokes!!!

You can't be in a bad mood and tell a bad joke.

The very attempt at a bad Joke says that the world is just fine.

Therefore... I love Bad Jokes!!!

I love bad Sy-fy original films.  Check out 'Ice Spiders'.  No wait........'Mongolian Death Worms'.  It's a ****ing gem.

What! I always thought that would be the main (if not only) reason any ballplayer would bother to take the time to read the GT's.

How fun is this?!! The kids are alright!

Sano, Rosario, Hicks, Santana, Gibson, the major players today!

I love it!!

I know right? I'm going to go celebrate by performing some stand-up for the missus.

I really like the swing Danny Santana put on that triple. He kept the bat cocked sharply as he shifted his weight into the pitch, releasing the energy as late as possible. That got great power into the moment of truth at the contact point, producing a little explosion into the ball.

Santana is really swinging the bat with more confidence now. It's really sweet to see. He's kind of like everybody's little brother. You just like to see him succeed.

Beating the Tigers is almost as much fun as beating the White Sox. Almost.

Almost but there is nothing like beating the White Sox... Unless you can beat the White Sox and Tigers at the same time.

No Stride Swing Ala Denard Span... Less Mechanics to keep in line.

Just spin on it.

You can only do that if the Twins and the White Sox are vying for 1st place and the Twins are playing the Tigers. The White Sox lost their last game of the season and the AL Central isn't the best division in the league, so the Sox needed the Twins to lose to play a tie-breaker or else they're out of the playoffs. The Twins beat the Tigers 16-3 with two Sano grand slams. The only drawback is that Dozier didn't hit a walk off home run and Perk didn't get the save. Molly considered setting up for that but decided to scrap that idea after realizing it could only be one or the other.

I apologize for the tense change. I got carried away with my idea.

EDIT: I think that this would be even sweeter if you swap out the White Sox for the Tigers and vice versa.

twins of the future becoming twins of the present right before our eyes ...

Straight talk, homie.

It's a little more fun to watch some of the young guys leading.  Gives me hope that the first half of the season wasn't a fluke.....and that we should feel confident in thinking a playoff series will occur for the first time in several years for the Twins.

Absolutely no one?
:)

I made a reckless prediction last year that the Twins would win 92 games. This year I was all out of reckless predictions (or predictions of any other kind), so I let the year be what it would be, and look, it's been a good year.
