Tied up in KC.  10-10, top of the 8th, 1 out for the Jays, runner on 1st.

I wouldn't suppose that this game is being nationally televised?

Brian, you don't have to re-wash.  The water does most of the work.  But they will smell fresher if you use a little detergent.

Alternatively, dry them with a nice dryer sheet or some Downy.  That will also help on the fresh smell.

The one advantage of living in Iowa on the baseball front.  Dish gives us Twins, Royals, Cubs, White Sox, Cardinals and Brewers in our standard package.

Paulo Orlando is just killing the Twins hopes.

Just hit another HR in the bottom of the 8th.  KC up 11-10.  No one on.  One out.

The #MNTwins will head to the All-Star break with the second best record in the American League at 49-40. Only trail the Royals.

KC wins 11-10.

They are now 52-34.

Twins trail by 4.5.

Only 3 back in win column but with 6 more losses.  (Wonder when KC will play those make-up games).

GREAT FIRST HALF, TWINS!

I'm doing laundry now.

I'm not totally clear on how to separate.

So I'm doing my nice clothes in one load... and my... I don't care what I look like clothes in the other.

Brian - you take your nice clothes to a cleaners so they will not only be clean, but they will smell clean and they will be ironed.

The other things, just throw them in the washer, put in a little detergent, and go.

Smell em its happening Homer hankey

It's been fun so far, but I don't smell them yet.  (And I thought I was the irrational optimist.)

Awesome pregame honoring all the service people. Nice remembrances with families of those lost getting to sit in donated boxes and banners of their lost ones hanging from facades. Lots of anniversary dates for ends and starts of wars. Lotsa sad eyes....great fly over of 5 WWII fighters and 3 bombers.

And the game another win and never a doubt....

Lots of new fans at the games , as yesterday and again today I sat with first timers to Target Field. Some don't count as one group was Detroit fans and another from New York (just travelling thru). New Yorkers were the stereotypical, women with the heavey Bronx/Jewish accents and their men big quiet Mafia types.

I had a great baseball weekend ;)

Last 15 seconds are silent (which seems fine, it's purpose bein' to get ya to buy the song)

I can assure all readers, you have missed little, the rest of their rendition goes on in a similar vein. :)

I feel a Philip Glass moment coming on.

Yeah, it does.

I hadn't thought of it that way. The recording isn't half empty, it's half Philip Glass...

For some reason I just feel like posting this. I bet no one watches it.

Are you sure it isn't interrupted by a preview of John Cage's 4'33"?

GREAT FIRST HALF, TWINS!

They have a double-header this Friday vs the Whities. Otherwise it appears that they'll have fewer off-days than us. Good for us.

I stand corrected...

Cage wrote it. Not Glass. Thanks!

The old aphorism is true...

Those in glass cages shouldn't.

Speaking of Glass Cages and the fat lady, did you ever wonder where that phrase comes from? The true phrase should be "It isn't over until after the fat lady sings ... and then about five more minutes of thin ladies gyrating in glass cages."

When the fat lady sings.

Seeing that it bounced between two links, neither of which involved abnormally large women, um...

But yeah, you're right in the grand scheme of things. Though i think they may prefer to be referred to by their voice part, which i don't know enough about operatic convention to comment upon...

Oh, i did watch the Grieg's march o' the trolls too. Alas, it was longer than the commercial break so the sounds of the game interrupted it somewhat.

Anyway, hooray Twins. Nice to end this chunk o' the season reelin' off a few victories.

Life is good.
