That has to be Bachmann. That's classic Crazy Eyes talk if I've ever seen it.

I forget, are those two different people?

If it were a choice between them, I'd choose Palin over Bachmann ... that's how awful Bachmann is.

Edit: Actually, I'd choose neither. blecht.

Yeah, if there ever was a deletable post, this may be it.

Palin looks like she's gone with the "middle age stripper" look - am I the only one thinking that?

Coulter legitimately scares me.  Like, go into the fetal position if I'm in the same room as her, sort of fear.

Dave, i will disagree with you to the nth degree about nyc and la voters being more aware than the Midwest. Just because the economies in those two cities are huge, does not mean they are politically aware. Sure, special interests and others that have dollars in political pockets will be, but the aggregate population. Especially when considering places like Minneapolis, Des Moines, and Chicago. Some of the most intelligent population in the world per capita.

Trump: I'm going to make the aliens pay to put a wall around their planet.

That worked out well for Tony Stark.

You lost me at Des Moines.

Illinois is a particularly savvy political state, Chicago possible the most in the country?

Minneapolis? Nah.

I don't understand what we're arguing about - what is entailed in being savvy?

Smerf is right that, in general, the midwest has significantly higher portion of intelligent people.

beats me, it just beats talking about Trump vs Cruz vs Sanders vs Hildog for a few moments.

I've decided I won't be voting for Sanders if he gets the nom. Just. Won't. His acts of desperation are just ... bad.

He is holding a rally about 12 blocks north of my place today, ugh the whole neighborhood is going to be full of his annoying BernieBros'. I wish I knew about this earlier though, I would made some knock off crappy Bernie trucker hats and sold them to his drones for about $50 a pop.

The good news is, he won't get the nom.

He trails Hil by 2.4 million votes so far, and the gap is about to get quite a bit wider with NY and CA .

Good article:

So you'd really let a Republican benefit from your non-vote?  Goodness.

Yes, I would. Bernie or bust supporters would, too, it would appear. It's becoming quite clear that beyond the vision and idealism I thought I admired and compared to Wellstone is a man who just wants to destroy not help to change, unless it's done according to him. That kind of arrogant self-righteousness isn't worthy of my vote. I bet he'll be running regardless, as will Trump, if they end run him at the convention. I really see a 4-way battle, with the decision going to Congress, and finger pointing all around. But in the end, I think that's what Bernie and the Republicans want.

No.  Perhaps a higher percentage of educated people, which isn't the same thing.

Yeah, I mean all states have made their mistakes, but Minnesota did elect Jesse the Body Ventura to office as well as Michelle Bachman (multiple times)

Listen, I love Minneapolis, but there isn't a whole lot of "melting pot" diversity going on that you see in other areas like Chicago, NYC, LA, SF, etc everything is sort of segmented in Minneapolis when it comes to parts of towns, neighborhoods etc.

Bernie isn't a democrat, and him getting 4 years in office would accomplish nothing positive. I would vote for him over Cruz, but that's about the only way I could vote for him.

I'd disagree on your take of Minneapolis. As for Bachman, she only won because of the crazy gerrymandering.

It depends, quite honestly ... Illinois won't carry for Cruz, so I won't have to vote for Sanders. Doubtful Illinois would carry for Trump, either, so I'm off the hook either way.

Meh, Mpls-St Paul area does have more melting pot stuff going on than you might think.

I don't see it, it again all seems very segmented.

I need to renew my passport this Spring.

Heh ... mine's up to date thanks to work. But my photo is crazy ... I am VERY blonde in that photo, taken during a time of more ... color sampling.

Well, okay ... I can see that ... segmented, and definitely in the burbs ... but it isn't without diversity.
