Oh ugh, Burton warming up.

 

If Burton can stay puft like last game, then we have nothing to worry about.

Gardy is terrible with in game moves. Why would he pinch run for Arcia?! Can't he picture a scenario where this game would go extra innings?

 

One out with men at the corners. Extra innings is THE most likely out come. Now one of the teams best hitters is out of the game for the worst, all in case of the 1 in 50 chance that Hermann's fractionally better speed will come into play.

 

The odds that this spot in the lineup comes up again is much greater than the odds that Hermann's speed advantage would come into play. Much , much, much better.

What kind of slide was that Herrman? As he got close to the base his foot came off the ground. I think he's safe if he keeps his foot down or slides head first.

 

Fundamentals.  Not good.

Until u get to second, I am not a big fan of a pinch runner... UNLESS u intend to steal the guy!
