LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Hmmm. Looked like it grazed the outer edge of the foul poll, with the mild (by my golf swing standards) slice turning into a mild right turn. Who's up for foul poll impact sensors? Just kidding. Mostly. Either way, that's a pretty impressive ride for a go-the-other-way swing.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 I love coconut cake, which is usually just vanilla cake with coconut icing. But on rare occasions the cake itself has coconut flavor. I wonder why those occasions seem so rare. Is it difficult to just add some coconut milk to the cake? The hardest part is getting the coconuts open. I get frustrated and buy an Almond Joy
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I love coconut I hate it. Not the taste; the consistency... http://img.ccdn.cannabisculture.com/files/images/71/zombieland-snowballs.jpg
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 I wonder who the first guy was to discover that there was something to eat in a cocunuts and how hungry was he at the time.

I love coconut cake ... but I usually have to have it with some kind of a filling ... hmm ... may have to make something ... vanilla cake, with a raspberry cream filling, and vanilla frosting with coconut.

In Mercia? The coconut's tropical!King Arthur: What do you mean?1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Well, this is a temperate zoneKing Arthur: The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?King Arthur: Not at all. They could be carried.1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: What? A swallow carrying a coconut?King Arthur: It could grip it by the husk!1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.King Arthur: Well, it doesn't matter. Will you go and tell your master that Arthur from the Court of Camelot is here?1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?King Arthur: Please!1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Am I right?

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Sorry to miss the cake discussion! Homemade German Chocolate or really any chocolate with homemade coconut-pecan frosting. I also make a white cake that make in layers filled buttercream frosting and strawberries soaked in frambroise liquor. With buttercream frosting, almonds and strawberries on top. If I have to have white cake, I need some kind of filling.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Can plouffe get any worse? Yes he can... It was 2013. Much better in 2014. But yeah... A better throw would have been ideal.

My mom used to make it with broiled coconut frosting ... but I make mine with the regular coconut pecan frosting.
