Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 I seriously like the Robins Egg Blue... This was the uniform my youth. I wouldn't go for this style... But the color modernized... Oh yeah.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Rick Anderson needs to do several thousand situps and crunches. I always thought he looked pretty good until I saw him in these abominations of unis. But then again, he may only have looked pretty good compared to Gardenhire.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 We got this. Good thing you alerted Braun to this, otherwise he might have poked it 10 feet farther.
Tibs Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Lol, Carlos Gomez just swatted at that bug. I love this guy.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Hope my comments about Joe Nathan don't haunt Perkins tonight. Name the curse and it goes away Dana Wakiji @FSDwakiji 30m #Tigers Nathan: You start to go, ‘What is going on right now w/me?’ Do I need to go to church more, say more prayers? What do I need to do?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Perkins must strike Gomez out. Winnah!
howeda7 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 The Twins never led by less than 2 after the 3rd inning. Yet that was totally nerve-wracking the whole way. Oy. Win's a win.

Oh yeah. I always knew them as powder blues, but I love them. Reminds me of games at the Met when I was a kid.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Lol, Carlos Gomez just swatted at that bug. I love this guy. I do to. I think my Mom is his biggest fan.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 The Brewers "jump back" from the plate a lot, and do that "I gotta raise my arms so it doesn't hit me because it's so inside" trick a lot. Are they being coached to do this? On a ball four from Perk, a guy reacted to an inside Perk pitch like a contact-fused hand grenade. PitchFox showed it to be about an inch and a half inside. Anyway, great win against Children of the Cheese (sorry, Sconnie). The road performance of the twins has been stratospheric relative to expectation this year.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Perk w/ a "c'mon Eddie" save. It was vintage Eddie. It's no fun unless you escape it like MacGyver.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 It was vintage Eddie. It's no fun unless you escape it like MacGyver. I kind of miss Nathan's histrionics.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I kind of miss Nathan's histrionics. And the smudge.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I too am happy we pulled out win, and don't need to look too closely at it. Sorry to hear about the nose. My silver lining detector tries to imagine what clever things can be done with a protective mask... (Bowling) Turkeys! May their baseball analogue flock freely amongst the twins pitching! And in general, i hope the way Arcia and Willingham have come back from wrist injuries is portentous of Buxton's recovery... Anything i wanted to say but missed? I'm sure there was, there always seems to be...Maybe i'll think of it during another game thread...
