Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Anyone seen the radar reports on Pelfrey? What is his fastball hitting? Dodgers' bats.
Hawkeye12 Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Bert is about two beers away from actually saying what he'd like to say about Pelfrey with no filter and some FCC violations.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Pelfry is hitting 89-91 with the fastball which works if you're a crafty lefty. But he is a not so crafty righty and the results are kind of ugly. I don't know many crafty righties, maybe Brian he's crafty he can get by on his grit and guile.
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Dodgers' bats. I almost fell out of my chair at work laughing at this post. Thank you Brock!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Anyone seen the radar reports on Pelfrey? What is his fastball hitting? 70 percent chance of rain
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Can't use bullpen, they need their rest..................wait, we just had 3 days off.....hmmmmm get him the F out of the game.

The current process is to bring in Deduno in the 3rd or 4th inning, down 4 runs every time Peflrey starts. Why not just start Deduno and skip the giving up the 5 runs part?
big dog Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Anyone seen the radar reports on Pelfrey? What is his fastball hitting? 89-90 mph.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 How many more games of this will you people with tvs have to watch? I feel bad for you. I only have to check the box score occassionally. I don't have to actually SEE it. Is it better or worse for your eyes than catching your parents....
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I remember when we had a 2-0 lead. It doesn't seem that long ago
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 The upside to this game is that I don't see how the Twins give Pelfrey another start. He's not even sitting at 91mph today. He's hovering at 89-90 and he's an AWFUL pitcher at that speed.
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Little late for Deduno now, I so much agree with you Tobi, start Deduno and if you need a reliever bring in Pelphrey in a lost game, instead you bring in one of your best pitchers in a lost game...........but I can hear Gardy now, we really didn't want to use Deduno in the first game, cuz we know Johnson cant go far in the second.......Gotta save pitchers for the AAA guy , when Pelphrey should be a NOwhere guy.

Why not just start Deduno and skip the giving up the 5 runs part? Well, some pitchers have personal catchers. Pelfrey has a personal reliever. It's innovation.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 *slow clap* for the strikeout.

Pelf is STRUGgling with a Capital STRUG.
S. Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Just release him already. I don't want him starting. I don't want him in the pen. I don't want him taking starts in AAA. If the Twins are dead set on keeping him, he can be a BP pitcher for low A ball or something.

At least as a kid, I wasn't sure what I was seeing , with Pelphrey , I know, and it turns my stomach

big dog Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Mike Pelfrey pitching, Drew Butera batting. Who d'ya like?

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Alright back to work for me... Looking forward to seeing Kris Johnson tonight.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 2m Pelfrey at 71 pitches thru 3 (41 strikes). Has fallen behind 11 of 18 batters with ball one. Lawsy.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 After a while, you run out of things to say about how bad Pelfrey has pitched this year.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Watching on gameday here and there. Looks like he's working up in the zone again?
Fatt Crapps Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Way to battle there Pelf. You just knew that liner was gonna go right to the CF.
Chief_Roberts Provisional Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 This is the year Pelfrey puts it all together. It usually takes two years to fully recover from Tommy John surgery.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 How long do you let Pelf and KC give the team no chance at winning 2 out of 5 days.
VandyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Deduno has followed Pelfrey in 4 of 5 starts. The one game he didn't...Deduno pitched the day prior. Why don't we just switch their roles?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 How long do you let Pelf and KC give the team no chance at winning 2 out of 5 days. Dunno about Correia but I'll be mighty disappointed if Pelfrey makes another start in May.
