  1. Does Coaching Staff create hitting approach or is an analytical driven directive that they're in charge of implementing?
  2. Zack Littel being a successful starter for the Rays seems to be the most fictitious part.
  3. I think the Margot deal would have been similar where we would have had to kick in money to trade either player. Then you start considering signing depth for what you lost, so the money becomes a wash, and then you might as well keep two guys you have and like in Vazquez / Farmer.
  4. I take the trade as an indicator on the Buxton plan, probably 50 games in CF. Castro 30, Margot 80. Buxton DHs for the other 50. Heavy DH early. Hopefully Buxton plays 150 in CF but not likely.
  5. If either Correa or Buxton have good healthy seasons, should they be considered on the block?
  6. This is the thing I don't understand. Feels like it should have been a must have in the deal.
  7. Was going to make this point. I loved watching Polanco especially in clutch situations but he played more than 105 games 3 out of 8 years less 2020. We have too much of that on this team
  8. Every ball hit to him was an adventure, but his one good year he had every big RBI
  9. And won a divisional game so it wasn't just cute little wild card games.
  10. Houston is a buzz saw but now our boys are playing with house money. No fear. Let's do it
  11. Winder and funderburk were dealing should have gone multiple
  12. 4 games over .500 seems to be our sweet spot
  13. I agree it's looking like too many health related OF question marks to not strongly consider Max's option. Good for Max, credit to David Popkins as well?
  14. Team has fallen on face on games like this earlier this year, road game following a sweep at home. Good for Rocco getting team up for this one, hopefully smelling a little division blood in the water.
  15. I expect adding payroll was an issue. Probably not forecasting a strong gate for a 500 team, and Brent suter doesn't really draw. Meanwhile the division looks ripe for the taking next year too even if Twins lower payroll a little with Larnach replacing Kepler, Miranda over gallo and Varland over Gray. Probably have the Division for 24 and 25.
  16. Correa is 4 for 22 with 1 run scored, 0 RBI in the 5 game skid. He had seemed to be providing a spark at the top of the order but obviously has cooled down.
  17. The names to acquire are fine, but what is the cost? Not opposed, but have no idea what it would take to acquire any or all mentioned
  18. Larnach could be moved in a 'sell' deal. Maybe a Seattle trades for him hoping to generate offense but we get A Level with upside in return
  19. Maintaining first place in a season when the 2 primary superstars have been anything but- I think Rocco sticks around.
  20. I agree on the concern on buying high on Thomas, though I think Washington would be more interested in low A raw prospects for their rebuild. Turner would be good but I see LA Dodgers getting him back.
