    Ryan has to pitch to rebuild some trade value. He might pass a physical but any team is going to declare that there's risk with his elbow. You hope some team is aggressive and still takes a chance with a decent offer but as of today I'd think it would be less than a month ago

    The Brewers' success is probably TP's goal. I think further tearing down the team to get there is an indictment on Falveys inability to build it in the first place, or at least would be in TP's eyes. I'm guessing Falvey wanted to start over and trade everyone, but TP didn't think Falvey should be the one to do so.

    500 million of debt is what gets a Pohlad brother replaced by another. I think 'the core' gets a half season due to low trade value of Lopez off injury, and relatively low salaries of Ryan, Buck. If things go south the tear down commences.

    Hope that this team can be competitive in the Central? Sure I can see that by 27, 28. Compete for a Pennant? That's so far away even if things go right.

    'Consider yourselves lucky to have a 100 million dollar payroll because we're losing so much money because you don't come to games.' combines well with 'We're banking on hope and that the next manager can develop this wave of minor leaguers into fully functioning members of the proven Falvey baseball system'. I think Falveys just a Yes Man for a very prestigious roles in MLB, that he gets to keep by being a Yes Man.

    I think he'll be gone and I expect a Falvey word salad about new direction nonsense. So yes a fall guy because Falvey will be here for a while.

    I suspect that the Astros' rebuild blueprint is the new plan. Pohlads get a cheap product, Falvey gets 5-7 more years to see it through, Rocco can stay as long as he can stand the kids.

    I've lived through enough Pat Meares, Juan Castro, Jamey Carrol, Pedro Florimon etc years to not appreciate steadiness of Correa. But he set the groundwork for the lofty expectations with the Dior comments.

    The tone of the whole thing deadline would be so much different if Varland and maybe Jax would've been kept. It was like some trades added to try to disguise the salary purge

    As head spinning as the day was I guess I agree. I'm annoyed that Correa gets his way and will probably start hitting. Varland I would have kept but he's older than I thought so they might have considered him an injury risk or something. Bring on the Michael Tonkin all stars we'll see how they respond.
