  1. I'm more looking forward to the article Ty France's Return and Other 2026 Potential Basement Bargains
  2. I think he'll be gone and I expect a Falvey word salad about new direction nonsense. So yes a fall guy because Falvey will be here for a while.
  3. I suspect that the Astros' rebuild blueprint is the new plan. Pohlads get a cheap product, Falvey gets 5-7 more years to see it through, Rocco can stay as long as he can stand the kids.
  4. Brewers bandwagon probably doesn't have room but they're a fun team to watch. I wonder if I can switch my Twins streaming
  5. I wonder if another right-sizing adjustment will be coming given poor attendance and understanding that the streaming money is a lot less than the old TV deals.
  6. The goal of this organization is to compete in the Central. They're doing fine in their eyes. This is exhibition.
  7. I want to like, love, laugh and cry at this post
  8. I've lived through enough Pat Meares, Juan Castro, Jamey Carrol, Pedro Florimon etc years to not appreciate steadiness of Correa. But he set the groundwork for the lofty expectations with the Dior comments.
  9. The tone of the whole thing deadline would be so much different if Varland and maybe Jax would've been kept. It was like some trades added to try to disguise the salary purge
  10. As head spinning as the day was I guess I agree. I'm annoyed that Correa gets his way and will probably start hitting. Varland I would have kept but he's older than I thought so they might have considered him an injury risk or something. Bring on the Michael Tonkin all stars we'll see how they respond.
  11. To all that said 'Fire Rocco at least because you can't fire all the players' Falvey: 'Hold my beer'
  12. Duran too expensive next year?
  13. Do we really have to do the opener just let him start I don't see the point
  14. Has anyone put together a projected 2026 payroll? I know new ownership can reset the expectation, but wouldn't expect a drastic increase. Just curious if that influences the need to trade these players
  15. The walk to the Ruiz character was the deciding factor. Essentially 4 of 5 pitches bounced to the plate. Willi Castro too, 1st pitch gidp after 3 straight walks, albeit a new pitcher. I say trade away the spare parts.
  16. Was there any comment on the Willi Castro play? Like he just fell down and decided not to run?
  17. 'Offense is the black hole right now led by a 35 million dollar player batting .217. Correa will heat up. The positional depth is probably thinner than we'd like but everyone knows our constraints. Jouliens and Miranda's need to step up for this to work and they haven't. We're going to keep at it because our pitching keeps us in a lot of games.' I think that's all Falvey would need to say
  18. I don't love the current state of affairs but I do prefer it to the starting pitching black holes of the 90s and post santana 2010s. Not crazy about Rocco's platoon split insistence but at least it's a strategy. Turns out it's probably not a major competitive advantage, time to try something else. Don't love Correa's contract but I was glad we signed a known player. Team needs a youth infusion maybe hopefully the young guys make it happen.
