  1. I agree it's looking like too many health related OF question marks to not strongly consider Max's option. Good for Max, credit to David Popkins as well?
  2. I expect adding payroll was an issue. Probably not forecasting a strong gate for a 500 team, and Brent suter doesn't really draw. Meanwhile the division looks ripe for the taking next year too even if Twins lower payroll a little with Larnach replacing Kepler, Miranda over gallo and Varland over Gray. Probably have the Division for 24 and 25.
  3. Correa is 4 for 22 with 1 run scored, 0 RBI in the 5 game skid. He had seemed to be providing a spark at the top of the order but obviously has cooled down.
  4. The names to acquire are fine, but what is the cost? Not opposed, but have no idea what it would take to acquire any or all mentioned
  5. Larnach could be moved in a 'sell' deal. Maybe a Seattle trades for him hoping to generate offense but we get A Level with upside in return
  6. Maintaining first place in a season when the 2 primary superstars have been anything but- I think Rocco sticks around.
  7. I agree on the concern on buying high on Thomas, though I think Washington would be more interested in low A raw prospects for their rebuild. Turner would be good but I see LA Dodgers getting him back.
  8. This is finally the pitching staff able to break the streak. That's a big deal. 20 years since a playoff win(?) Hang onto 1st and win a playoff game at all (reasonable) costs - keep Gray and add a bat.
  9. Getting a start is different than setting up a 6 man rotation. Start him out of th AS break against Oakland to give everyone an extra day. He does well, then maybe fit in another start, meanwhile see if we figured out how to hit.
  10. Was going to say the same - what are chances Steer would be struggling with the mistake hunting Twins approach
  11. Attendance was solid over the Detroit series so I'm assuming changes are minimal as long it people show up and 1st place is within reach
  12. The offensive woes remind me of 2006 where the team rebounded by replacing the corpses of Tony Batista and Juan Castro with Bartlett and Punto. Replace Vazquez and Kepler with Jeffers and Wallner, and see if if there's any spark. Ideally then Miranda comes up to DH, maybe try Buxton in left field as his next step.
  13. Rocco pinch hit for Kirilloff in the first inning after learning it was a left handed tee
  14. Just for fun I think we should trade Kepler to the Yankees and watch him just start peppering their short porch in right.
  15. Buxton, Correa, Miranda need to figure it out by year end or start over.
  16. I praised an 11 year old last night for having a productive at bat and moving 2 guys over. Surely even if you expect Kiriloff to be futile against Sean Manea he seems like the kind of hitter who will still have a professional productive at bat. I don't get it, this is not a watchable product.
  17. I don't think it's a big deal, you pay a ton of money to park your car, buy a ticket and eat a hot dog, then joining a boos chorus to show dissatisfaction for the entertainment shouldn't be controversial. I don't think MN sports fans abuse this.
  18. He and Buxton discussed over lobster dinner, which he ate several times a week
