  1. I feel like Colome is George Costanza when he becomes Body Suit Man and tries various stunts to try to get fired from the Yankees.
  2. If the market is less than a top 100, forget it and role the dice that things click for Jose and stars align for the team
  3. Up to this game Twins were only scoring by bomba so good to see some other run scoring hits
  4. Agree 100% about the nonsense its out the window when a position player is pitching. Is it really necessary when rosters are expanded too to 26 guys now? Would it have killed Shoemaker or Happ to throw the 9th inning? 'It would be his bullpen day anyway'.
  5. In previous regimes, I thought the curse was a Curse of Carl, where Mr. Pohlad and TR decided that it economically viable to contend for a Division Crown, but not for the WS. Producers-like. Hard to complain too much, Target Field exists in part due to the 2000s Division crowns. I hoped that Falvey would be able to reverse this Curse by replacing retread pitchers with Cleveland-like homegrown pitching talent. A few Derek Laws later I have to think this curse is festering.
  6. I'm not a 'fire the manager' guy, but if the manager is managing mostly on information or trends or suggestions from the analytics department, then who's culpable? I guess just the players then. But you can't fire all of the players.
  7. I propose trading Cruz. He doesn't really deserve this, but also isn't making the difference. Someone would take him, it might shake things up and make this Donaldson's team.
  8. The problem seems to be hitting with runners in scoring position so maybe everyone should stop when they get to first.
  9. I understand the premise is to trade whom has value, but my hope would be to free up funds by trading Kepler, Polanco, maybe Donaldson, in order to keep Berrios and Buxton long term.
  10. Even in the victory yesterday the team was 3 of 14 with RISP.
  11. Ironically you need to play Sano Kepler Polanco in order for them to regain trade value. If they find themselves or figure something out, you will probably be winning more games. Even then the bullpen is still an issue.
  12. I think the blame should be spread evenly if we're approaching Total System Failure.
  13. Regression of core players is discouraging and I don't think the front office would cut bait.
  14. Probably no options until a Larnach or Rooker get hot and deserve LF at bats, potentially pushing Kiriloff to 1B.
  15. And now Rogers is certainly unavailable for tonight's game.
  16. It's beginning to feel like TSF when all aspects of the team at some point contribute to losses, the manager makes questionable decisions, the Covid issue, talent pipeline is tapped and doesn't perform, though it is early on Kiriloff. I guess that's the hope is this can be 2006 and Sano is Tony Batista and Polanco is Juan Castro. Can we trade Kepler for a Shannon Stewart, which was a different year but similar feel.
  17. If the 8th inning was supposed to be a low leverage situation for Colome to start regaining his confidence I don't think it worked.
  18. The rotation seems pretty solid, so that's a foundation for hope. Of course when the bats turn around watch them hit a wall.
  19. Did Shelton contribute more than we realize, and will he school Rocco this weekend (?)
  20. Thats the 2nd time already that Rogers has given up inherited runs in a key spot.
  21. Glad things have returned to normal in 2021- Kyle Seager and Justin Upton owning Twins pitching. A lot of guys left on base - that's the theme to me this year.
  22. Elsewhere, the ChiSox #5 starter threw a no hitter.
