  1. 1980's Stros are pretty awful. Gotta be top 3 anyway. These Rox uni's are right up there.
  2. I'm liking this granny stuff!
  3. I can't see them totally blowing the roster up. I do think they may have gone a step or two too far with loading up on all the star-power they have. I can see them shedding some payroll and trying to "tune" the roster a little bit. Maybe make a trade or two before next season. Kind of mini rebuild kind of thing. They have a lot of talent on that team and they're not far away from being in the playoffs. As we all know...anything can happen when you get to the dance.
  4. I really don't want Buxton, Gallo, or Luplow...but if those are the choices, obviously you take Buxton. I just don't see how he helps us at this point, unless he's 100%...and he can't possibly be. It'll be interesting what the roster will be for next week. All I want is for Royce and CC to be on it, and ok.
  5. Yeah, I know these games don't mean squat, but we still should be winning them. We just have a tendency to lose these getaway games. Lifeless. Doesn't matter who's in our lineup, or who's pitching. Gotta find that killer instinct.
  6. Just saw from Betsy Helfand, that C4 won't be activated for the Rox series and go to CO. He's staying back in the TC to do some sim games, and is still on target to play next week.
  7. For some reason we tend to have clunkers on these getaway games. Doesn't matter who's in the lineup or who's pitching. Yeah, I know were setting things up for next week, but today was a winnable game and another chance for a sweep. Would've been nice if we did it. On to Colorado!
  8. I know Louie wants to be a starter, and he probably will be again...but he looks great as a reliever. He even seems more relaxed and comfortable coming out of the pen. He always seemed kind of jumpy, or nervous, to me when he started games. I think he's wrapped pretty tight anyway, but I don't see that as much when he pitches in relief. He's going to be a real asset for us either way, but I love him coming out of the pen.
  9. When Wallner squares one up, it's got some juice on it!
  10. Can we win one for Sonny for a change? Like put up 10 runs for him early, somehow? Might be tough with this lineup, but the guy deserves it.
  11. Looking forward to seeing Stewart back in the pen. Hopefully he's close to, or at 100%, and is ready to eat a few innings when he's needed. No ill will towards Floro, but I won't miss him. He might clear anyway and end up with the Saints next season.
  12. Just saw that they activated Paddack today. I'd bet we see him out there pretty soon.
  13. Disappointed with the lineup Rocco put out there yesterday. Sonny deserved better. He's pitched great all season.
  14. OUCH! Hope we don't lose another SS.
  15. Another very good performance by Sonny...and unless we can scratch across a run, he's gonna get saddled with the loss. He's been getting shafted all season with games like this.
  16. He definitely thought it was in the seats. He's getting really bad at judging distance on fly balls to the outfield.
  17. Has Luplow EVER played 1B before? I honestly don't know. Not the best throw, but he fanned on that one.
  18. The lineup isn't particularly inspiring, but not really all that surprising I guess. Sonny might have to put some zeros up there. Maybe they can surprise all of us and put a bunch of runs on the board.
  19. Probably too early to think about doing that. Louie's got the stuff and the mentality to do it, and he's looked real good in relief so far in a very small sample size, but I don't know that I'm ready to throw him out there and close games yet. He's somewhat prone to giving up the long ball, which wouldn't play well in a closers role. I'd rather ride it out with Duran, even though he's struggling a little bit right now. He's our best option.
  20. I don't have any other ideas what the playoff roster should, or will look like...other than what's already been suggested. My only take is...I'd prefer if Buxton wasn't on it.
  21. Just saw a report from Dan Hayes, that Buxton is scheduled to resume his rehab assignment with the Saints today. He's going to be the DH.
  22. Lookout...we're in danger of getting Jaxxed!
  23. What the hell were Kep and MAT doing out there on that one? That was easily catchable.
  24. Greene has 14k's in 7 innings. Normally I'd say that's pretty impressive, but then he's pitching against us, so that tempers it quite a bit. I'd love to see Cincy pull him though.
