  1. I like this a lot better than having Ryan start. Hope Ober is up to the task.
  2. No way on Buck. Keep Funderburk. Keep Ober and start him in game 1, with Kenta in relief. Ryan would get rocked down there. We have to win 1 of the 2 in Hou to have any chance in this series.
  3. You'd think they coulda gotten Mollie and son some better seats. I was surprised at where he was sitting when they showed him on ESPN's broadcast.
  4. I'm a Twins fan, but I'm not from Mn. I didn't mean 60 years of Twins baseball. I've seen plenty of shortstops play, for many teams, over the years. A lot of great ones. That play by CC was as good as they come.
  5. This is absolutely, 100%, spot on correct. CC was covering 2nd, which is what he was supposed to be doing. To call him lazy, is complete B.S. Once he saw that Polo missed the play, CC took off like a bat outta hell to get the ball. All the way from damn near 2nd base. Once he got the ball, he threw a rocket to Jeffers. Perfect throw, on the run. Watch the sequence again and see how far CC ran to make that play. Could another SS make that play? Probably, but you could count them on one hand...and maybe in that exact moment, no other SS makes that play. Everything had to be perfect, and it was. That was one of the best plays I've ever seen a SS make in my 60 years of watching baseball. The guy is worth every damn penny of what the Twins pay him, and it goes way beyond what he does on the field.
  6. There's nothing I'd like more, than to beat the Stros. That would be FANTASTIC! The pitching matchups kind of scare me though. Ryan needs to really come through. Can't let the homers start to fly all over the place. Our bats need to get going too.
  7. I wouldn't be shocked if Schneider gets the boot, with the Jays losing this series.
  8. Well...that was a lot of fun! However, we better wake up the bats for the next series.
  9. Pretty obvious we're not getting any more runs. We go to the 9th with a 2-0 lead.
  10. Please, please, PLEASE...good Jax. Like yesterday.
  11. Had my widow-maker back in 2004. On 10/8/2004...right when the Twins played NY. Believe me, Twins baseball isn't a calming endeavor.
  12. It's gonna be up to our pen to hold it. Louie first.
  13. 100% agree. There was a lot more there to be had.
  14. Bonehead move by Schneider to pull Berrios. That's the kind of move that gets managers fired.
  15. I don't think pulling Berrios is a good move for them. He looked great. I hope it's good for US.
  16. Congrats! Have a good time and a safe trip. Hopefully, the Twins have a nice wedding present for you.
  17. Sonny's battling. He's keeping them from scoring. Berrios has been better. Both teams look kind of tight so far. Somehow, we have to break thru and get a run or two.
  18. Yep...I think we're going to need some offense today, which would be a big difference in the games that Gray starts. He looks a little shaky right now.
  19. Sonny isn't real sharp so far. Not dialed in yet. Gotta watch his pitch count too.
  20. It was a reasonably tough play, but a better 3rd baseman makes it. Even if he got it, Polo probably would've thrown it away anyway. They just gotta stop hitting balls to him!
