    Can they? Sure. Will they? Nah. I think the pen is their dagger. They'll get close a few more times, but that carrot will be just a bit out of their reach. Even if by some miracle they do somehow make it, what difference will it make? Just enjoy the roller coaster ride while it lasts...we'll all be watching banana ball next season.

    Ok...did anyone honestly expect a different result from these last 3 games? Yeah, we came close in 2 of them, but if we would've somehow won 1 game, I would've been thrilled.

    No doubt Keaschall is a complete butcher at 2nd, and he's not hitting well enough to make up for his defensive liability. He just doesn't have any instinct for fielding at all. He probably would be best suited to be an outfielder at some point...and he be pretty lousy defensively there too.

    I just don't see them being buyers. Sure, they may make a few more dumpster dives, or make a minor trade or two, but they just aren't going to jump in with both feet for pitching help. It's gonna be all smoke and no fire.

    Yes, it looks like he made a few subtle adjustments. Whether or not it translates to better overall performance at the plate, remains to be seen. He's only been back here for a handful of games. We'll see. We sure could use some improved hitting from him in the lineup.

If some GM is delusional enough to want one of our supremely talented, stellar individuals...by all means, engage in trade talks with the mor...uh, genius...and see if a deal can be reached. After all, there's only so many DFA dumpster finds we can dig up over the course of the season. Book em Danno...murder one!

    Solo homers? Yeah, we got plenty of those. Hit one over the fence with some ducks on the pond? Fuhgeddaboudit! Can Buxton lead off the game with a long fly? Sure! Can he do anything but rack up K's after that? Sorry...no can do. Add the really bad Taj to the mix, and our sorry a** pen...and you got a whole lot of nuthin!
