    Ryan gets the shaft again. He deserves much better than he's getting from this team. The D let us down again. Yeah, the throw to 1st was low, but that ball should have been caught by Bell. That doesn't change the fact that we had no offense at all. I'm ready for Wallner to go bye bye too.

    I like him in the rota and seeing him pitch. He's looked pretty good so far. Let's hope it continues. There's no doubt he has some talent, but can he harness it and build on what he's doing right now? We shall see.

    We all knew the D was gonna be a problem at times, and this was one of them. Just flush it and move on. Start another hot streak on Friday against Cincy.

    We ALL knew this team was flawed and going nowhere. No one should be surprised by what we're seeing on the field. Would it be nice if they played over their heads and showed us something? Hell yeah, but it's not gonna happen. This is the way it's going to be. Get the kids up here and let them get some experience.

    Yeah, I know Abel hasn't looked that great in his first two games, but I'd like to see him stay in the rota for a while longer and see if he can figure some things out. If he's still having problems at the end of April, then put him on the St Paul shuttle. It's not like this team is going anywhere. Abels stuff is good, but his command isn't...at least not right now. I'm inclined to give him a pass on last night because of the weather...it was brutal out there. I don't know how anyone could have gotten a feel for anything in those conditions. Baseball should not be played in that crap. Matz seemed fine, but we can't hit lefties no matter what, so it doesn't prove much. At this point, I'd rather have Abel in there than Ober. A little better weather on tap for today, so let's see if we can take the series before the kittys get here.

    Wallner needs to figure out how to do something with guys on base. He's great at hitting a solo shot here and there when it doesn't matter, but if he comes up with ducks on the pond...he's useless. Ober is going to be a problem going forward. All in all...a good win on an awful weather day. There will be another one today.
