  1. Yeah, I know Abel hasn't looked that great in his first two games, but I'd like to see him stay in the rota for a while longer and see if he can figure some things out. If he's still having problems at the end of April, then put him on the St Paul shuttle. It's not like this team is going anywhere. Abels stuff is good, but his command isn't...at least not right now. I'm inclined to give him a pass on last night because of the weather...it was brutal out there. I don't know how anyone could have gotten a feel for anything in those conditions. Baseball should not be played in that crap. Matz seemed fine, but we can't hit lefties no matter what, so it doesn't prove much. At this point, I'd rather have Abel in there than Ober. A little better weather on tap for today, so let's see if we can take the series before the kittys get here.
  2. Wallner needs to figure out how to do something with guys on base. He's great at hitting a solo shot here and there when it doesn't matter, but if he comes up with ducks on the pond...he's useless. Ober is going to be a problem going forward. All in all...a good win on an awful weather day. There will be another one today.
  3. Some kind of power outage at Target Field...and the electricity/lights went out too. 😜
  4. We have a forum? You don't say! Might have to check that out. Sounds VERY interesting!
  5. This guy should fit right in with our collection of nothing.
  6. Taj is gonna go to the Mahal early if he keeps that up.
  7. Way too early to read anything into it. There's not gonna be a whole lot of "closing/save" opportunities anyway.
  8. We're all gonna get ulcers watching this pen, and Topa makes me violently ill.
  9. Great to see we still haven't lost the inability to get a hit with guys on base.
  10. Sure looks like Keaschall is the real deal when it come to his bat. If he can be at least average defensively, he'll be a lot of fun to watch. It would be great if Abel can build on his performance in ST and show that he's going to be a solid starter for this team. We really need him to do that. As for Wallner...they need to just leave him in there against righties and lefties and see what happens. We need his power in the lineup. Hopefully, they stop messing around with him at the 1 spot. I think they should put him at 4 and leave him there. At least give him the chance to drive in some runs. I don't know what to make about Lewis. I sure hope he figures some things out and starts to hit like he did a couple years ago. Seems like he's lost right now. He'll be playing just about every day no matter what. It'll be tough to watch if he hits a buck fifty and strikes out half the time. If he continues to struggle, they have to put him down at the bottom of the lineup. Time to play ball! Go Twins!
  11. You nailed it Cody. Completely inept decision making by this F.O. No plan whatsoever.
  12. Ready or not, here they come! It's gonna be a long season.
  13. Never go out on ANY kind, or size, of water, without a PFD/life jacket. It's just stupid and a gamble you don't want to take.
  14. Looking forward to seeing if Abel can continue to pitch like he did in ST, once the season starts. We sure could use that.
  15. Not really surprised about Gio, but Chafin was kind of a surprise. I don't care how many lefties we have...I would have kept him over Topa.
  16. Was hoping he'd have enough left in the tank to be part of this sorry a** bullpen. I want to see Topa hit the bricks too. Looks like this is the way we're going into the season. Red alert...man the battle stations!
  17. If he's tossing 88 mph cookies up there, it'll be batting practice for the team he's facing. Not good.
  18. Hopefully, the Twins can't stomach that. I know I can't. I don't care how versatile he is...he's got to go.
  19. Not real thrilled with any of them, but if I had to keep one...I guess it would be Arcia. At least for now.
