    I don't think anyone has to worry about them "replacing" Lopez. You can't seriously expect them to spend any money on one of the few remaining FA pitchers out there, do you? Because, they won't.

    I have a real bad gut feeling that the pen is gonna be a total train wreck. It's gonna be fire, after fire, after fire. Closer? What do we need one of those for?

    Actually, they can and do happen over a period of time. It's call "accumulated microtrauma", and they lead to one final break/tear. Each pitch can cause tiny, barely noticeable tears, which accumulate over time. I'm not a doctor, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.

    I know what they said last year, and I know what Zoll said this morning. I just find it very hard to believe. In any event, he's done for the year, and we probably went from 90 losses to over 100. It's gonna be another very long season.

    Lee needs to prove he can play a serviceable SS, improve at the plate, and stay off the IL. He's not gonna be CC in his prime, but he can't stink it up out there. Somewhere in between would be ok.

    We might suck to high Heaven this season, and it's way too early to know if Shelton will be any good, but I already like him WAY better than Baldelli.

    "Showing interest" is light years from actually being serious about signing one of them. I'm interested in hitting the lottery, or having Katy Perry show up at my front door...that doesn't mean that it's gonna happen.
