  1. I feel comfortable that Mauer will make the HOF. Gordon will settle for what the arbitrator decides.
  2. I don’t believe this trade is advantageous for the Twins because Target Field isn’t as forgiving as the San Francisco ball park. $12m is too much for that pitcher.
  3. Doc, I agree with you about Kepler staying in Rf where he feels comfortable.
  4. Ty France, (if available via trade) could solve 4 Twins problems 1. Right Handed power hitter and a younger player, 2. stability at first base. 3. 2-3 years team control. 4. fits Twin’s budget. Twins trade Polanco for France and a young prospect pitcher or Twins move Larnach, Miranda & Sands for France.
  5. That’s why we play the game. Only thing we can do is try something!
  6. Adam Duvall is a 35 yrs old, right handed hitter who plays left field with some power. His statistics are good. He could be used to DH, pinch hit off the bench and play some outfield.
  7. I’m happy for these young players & encourage other young prospects to motivate expanding skills.
  8. Sorry folks because the Dodgers maybe didn’t over Mr. Ohtini, because they got 2 dam good ball players in
  9. Marlin’s & Twins could hook up and make a trade to benefit both clubs roster needs. At a price both can afford. The Twins have a good Stack of middle infield prospects . I suggest moving Julian, Kepler, Miranda, for either (Rogers or Cabrara) both starting pitchers and. Puk a reliever. All three carry better ratings than the Tampa Rays $25 million pitcher. They are controlled for 3 or more years. They pitched “23” with good results. Injuries history are tolerable. Thier salaries are very reasonable and they are 25, 26 year olds with about 3 yrs. Mlb experience. This type of trade would accomplish the #1 goal reducing payroll, #2 filling a starting pitching role and a relief pitching for the Twins. This would leave the Twins in good FA for aC-Dh-1b like Garver or a power hiting outfielder or 1b. The Twins would still have Polanco, Larnach, Kerriliffo, Gordon, Miranda and Vasquez for trade bait.
  10. This makes good common sense . How many games is Arraez going to win or contribute to the winning run in a game? How many games would Lopez win and how runs would save from scoring so the Twins have a chance to winn. How much money have Twins lost from signing over-the-hill players and players with poor skills.
  11. I would rather trade our assets for starting pitching and relief pitching. I would overjoyed if the Twins cozzied up to the Marlins for Lopez or Cabrera or Meyers all pitchers with talent .. The “23” season roster will need to be up dated because of reduced # of games in the ALC replaced by more games with NL ; doing away with defensive shifts. I’m hoping that Martin sticks with the big club because he could be a good lead off hitter.
  12. I could see 6-7 prospects making it to the big yard in 2023. To get the quality to make a difference will require trading some good Twins players such as Kepler,Arraez, or other players.
  13. The Marlins have 2 pitchers Lopez & Cabrera are young and good stats and but may be cheaper than Roden but in a different type of currency $$$ and or player assets. Which currency is most easily refurbished? If the transaction is a failure. If the transaction is a successful when will the Twins start seeing result? Witch trade will bring back fans
  14. Twins could trade With Toronto for 1 of their young catchers.
  15. The Twins already have better outfielders than any of the for- mentioned of (give a break). It’s to early to go skinny dipping for the other for-mentioned players. The Twins have to many other holes to fill and need to spend more money than on players who are marginal. Everyone is complaining the Twins have too many left handed outfielders, then let’s do some trading of them?

    Lets go big!!

I fully agree but my order of preference 1st sign Correa, 2nd sign Contreras or 1 of the top 4 or 5 FA catchers, then trade with the Marlins for Lopez & Cabrera two young pitchers for Larnach, Kepler. & mid-range prospect. This would leave Kirilloff,, Wallner or Martin for rf & lf & 4th of.
  17. Haniger to me is a better choice than Martinez or Drury because he more of a position need than other 2.
  18. I would consider Rogers on a 1 yr. marginal cost on contract. He is relatively young ar 31.
  19. There are a couple of teams wanting to possibly wanting to trade one of there young catchers (Toronto & Oakland). Rumors have it that the Marlins would consider moving RH pitcher Lopez. ReSign FA Correa, Fulmer, T.Rogers & Haniger. This would make the “23” budget about $140-$150m. It would depend on who gets traded from the Twins?
  20. I wonder the philosophy of pitchIng department needs considerable updating as the idea of all relief pitchers are built to go 1 inning only is a scam. Some pitchers have the skills & ability to go longer. Same goes for starting pitchers and it should be made according to each pitcher ability & skills. Jurking a pitcher after the first hiccup causes problems. I certainly don’t buy Balddy’s theory that it prevents injuries. His theory shows he doesn’t have a game plan beyond the 6th inning a one inning for relief pitchers.
  21. RC, I like your since of creativity for the future of the Twins.. I’m a little concerned about Arraez playing 2nd in “23” because of the larger range to cover and having shorter launch starting point. He maybe better at 1b. I would prefer to keep Polanco as he’s a switch hitter with some power. I would be willing to move Garlick and 1 of a glut of left handed young such as Larnach, Kirilloff, Kepler or Wallner, for starting pitcher Lopez of the Marlin’s. I would trade with the Blue Jays for a young catcher. Maybe sign FA right handed outfielder M. Haniger. Resign Correa and Fulmer & 1 more relief pitcher.
  22. Sanchez did hit 15 homers, and 4th best free agent catcher.
  23. The Twins are off to a great start to the off season!
  24. Let’s trade for Woodruff of the Brewers or Pablo of the Marlins and trade Larnach & Sands or Winder. Cabrera of the Marlins is and other pitcher I like as a 5-7 choice. Resign or extend Correa for 5 yrs. for @$38.1 per year followed by 2 yr. Mutual extension. That a need of 2 relief pitchers, a ,catcher, a right power hitter who could be a corner outfielder.
  25. There is more to playing baseball than numbers including emotional, attitude leadership skills & playing skills.
