  1. They both owe me an apology for having to watch them over the last couple seasons. I place more credence on their performance over the last several years compared to the last two months.
  2. The most frustrating part for me is that this isn’t a new problem. They frequently end up with subpar bullpens because their “process” doesn’t work. I started posting in spring training that the bullpen was going to be a problem by the all star break. They didn’t even make to the fishing opener. If your plan is everyone will be healthy and every young pitcher will turn out then you are planning to fail.
  3. Yea I had to re-read the stat line on mlbtraderumours. I thought it was his slash line against righties. Nothing move.
  4. I don’t have confidence in them anymore. The bad decision pile is growing much faster than the good decision pile. Their stubbornness in sticking with their process even when it’s obviously wrong is beyond frustrating. End result: 7 years in and we have a 500 team in a horrible division. They really overhauled the analytics department and minor league development staff but if it doesn’t result in good players and good teams what difference does it make? In some ways I see the minor league development as worse than before. It seems all our players are fundamentally poor. Time to move on.
  5. I really like that he is a well rounded hitter. We need more of that on our big league club.
  6. Winder with two really good outings in a row. And why was was Wallner in St Paul?
  7. Thomas would be my choice. The Twins have needed a right handed hitting outfielder for years and there isn’t any on the farm getting ready for next year.
  8. Couldn’t agree more. It’s been the same for several years and yet the FO sticks to their “process” which doesn’t work.
  9. Gray is not getting traded because a team would have to give us something better than the comp pick. That won’t happen for ten starts of Gray.
  10. If they can solve the right handed hitting outfield problem with 3 years control I would move E Rod.
  11. Castro s outfield play has caused 3-4 runs against in the last two games. Defense matters.
  12. This. Max appears to have lost a step and doesn’t play the field with a great deal of intensity anymore.
  13. None of this means a thing as he has worked a handful of innings. It’s more a commentary on the current state of our bullpen.
  14. If the Twins did this even in part to get Lopez closer to his family then I will give the FO a sincere accolade.
  15. Two bullpen arms and a competent right handed hitting outfielder. You could copy and paste this every year for as far back as when they obtained Jake Cave. One would the the genius boys would see a pattern here.
  16. This not the fault of Moran Pagan or Ortega. They are trying their best. This is not Rocco’s fault as he has to use someone other than Duran and Jax. The FO assembled this pen and once again it’s not good I’ve been predicting this since spring training. They have their special plan for building bullpens and it doesn’t work but they are too stubborn to change. So we will use up more of our thin farm system to fix this at the trade deadline.
  17. This. I’m not a huge fan of Falvine but they really made some key acquisitions. Farmer has been extremely valuable as has Taylor and others.
  18. I know this will be an unpopular opinion as he is everyone s darling but Julien is flailing the last couple of days. He’s always had plenty of swing and miss in his game and it’s showing up now. Hopefully temporary.
  19. I also don’t see either with a lot of trade value. The Gallo signing has hurt us in a bunch of different ways including these two drifting in the wind. I would trade Larnach because he has given no indication that he can hit MLB off speed stuff and the league knows it.
  20. Happy Jeffers got to be the hero after taking one under chin. Really impressed with Tim Anderson at bat against Duran. Short compact swing that resulted in a bullet to right center. Wish the Twins had more swings like that.
  21. Sure glad they didn’t lose the game because of that double steal. With Julien s arm I can’t believe they even set the play to throw through. Vasquez should have held the ball as he could see the jump the runner got and Julien need to take two steps in cut the throw and mail the guy at home. On the bright side the Twins are making fewer of these types of plays compared to earlier in the year.
  22. Seattle needs a left handed hitting outfielder Gallo or Kepler or both for Teoscar Hernandez. We maybe would have to throw in a prospect and or eat some salary.
  23. He gets 3 years and $60 million for sure. No the Twins won’t pay this nor should they. QO and they are all good no matter what happens.
