  1. I hope that was a really good player ?
  2. I love Arreaz but the MVP has to be Correa and it ain’t even close. Arreaz does one thing really well - Correa does everything really well.
  3. The guy was phenomenal. Most people think about his velocity but he has 3 good pitches and he commands them all. The other thing is he consistently drew the toughest situations and still put up these numbers.
  4. Definitely need to target a really good right handed outfielder in free agency. Hopefully one that plays good enough defense that they could slide over to CF occasionally. If they can’t find a good defender then Max becomes the backup CF. If he complains about it, trade him. Oh and no more Celestino. I am done with boneheads that can’t hit cutoff men, throw to the wrong base and are clueless on the bases. This club needs a wake up call.
  5. This. He has stuff, hell so does Megill. What neither have is command which is WAY more important than stuff
  6. This list shows how silly it is to list a bunch of prospects and expect that they will all become major leaguers. Duran was outstanding and one of the few bright spots of the season. The rest of them who knows, especially Winder and Sands who are older do not have dominant stuff and have shown next to nothing in the big leagues.
  7. Minnesota’s competition for Correa? That implies the Twins will be in there trying to out bid other teams. I got a good chuckle out of that one.
  8. Regarding the title of this piece: cleaning up this 40 man will not be much work at all. DFA candidates all over the place.
  9. It doesn’t matter. Rocco is doing exactly what Falvine wants him to do. They are a package deal so get ready for more of the same until we have a different front office.
  10. The shoulder injuries with Mahle and Winder are most concerning. That generally doesn’t bode well long term. In the big picture Kiriloff is the greatest concern in that he could be an elite player. The other guys not so much.
  11. Poor SWR. He probably assumed he would have a major league team behind him on his debut.
  12. I see the Twins played their typical brand of sloppy baseball again today. Jeffers throw on the first inning steal attempt was laughable, again.
  13. You have to keep him on the 40 man just to see what’s on the other side but he’s way more of a suspect than prospect at this point.
  14. Like others I want to thank everyone involved in putting these minor league reports. Coverage not available elsewhere and really nice to have when the big club is struggling
  15. Great to see Ryan finish the season strong and healthy. He’s fun to watch because he generally throws strikes and the game moves along.
  16. I would bring him back as he would not bring much in trade. However playing time would be an open competition with Wallner et al and I would also tell him he is the new back up CF whether he likes it or not. This would bring value to the club.
  17. Yea I missed this as I turned it off after Gordon’s bonehead running play. Glad to see it although it’s about 3 months late. I’m thinking Celestino might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.
  18. Or they could have built an actual pitching staff from the most robust free agent pitching market in years and skipped all this crap.
  19. My frustration for this year is two fold: our FO sat out a robust free agent pitching market and put all their chips on the vaunted pitching pipeline. Of course it was a disaster and torpedoed what could have been a good season. Second is the complete lack of fundamentals this team displays. Sloppy play almost every game and in all facets. This has to be addressed before next year.
  20. SWR has had a very good season. Consistent performance across AA and AAA and good health. He’s quickly running out of things to prove in the minors.
  21. I’m guessing that Sanchez is a very good catcher is a minority opinion.
  22. Has to be the FO sitting out the most robust free agent pitching market watching their pitching degrade into a shot show and then being forced to give up valuable prospects to try and fix the original problem. Who is honestly surprised that Joe Smith wasn’t great or Gary Sanchez can’t catch?
  23. Agreed. Prospects are nice because they provide hope. It seems that is what most people consider. If you look at things objectively it is a completely different story. I think Enlow is in this category. Last year I posted skepticism about Balazovic and received much push back from many posters. Objectively he was wildly inconsistent at AA and really struggled at times. There was nothing in his performance that screamed top prospect. And there you have it.
  24. One more time I will post how rotten Megill has been. He gives up runs nearly every time he takes the mound. Why he flies under the radar is beyond me. He needs to be gone.
