    They don’t need too much. The impossible of Correa and Buxton performing like the All Stars they once were, Polanco to be healthy. Vasquez to find the fountain of youth. Can’t trade to fix that. 3 durable relievers for the seventh/eighth innings so they can go with a six man rotation. The rotation does seem to be wearing down. A replacement for Solano wouldn’t be a bad idea. Not much but really is quite a bit

    Did not say anything was right or wrong to spend into tax on draft picks or not to. If there is a problem with not doing it, as the article seems to imply there ought to be something to back it. Logically it would seem that it would pay off, but if drafting and outcomes were easy to figure out Ober would not have been drafted so late.

    Yup, they went over slot. Still doesn’t show that it is of value to do so. Logically the better the player the better chance, but there hasn’t been proof it is of value

    I quit reading one he brought up Brent Rooker and touting his All Star status. So from that I would gather that the Twins should trade Larnach to as horrible of team as possible because somebody has to be the team representative.

I would also suspect it would take 2 of the first list, especially if they can offload one of their underperforming corner outfielders.

    Gallo and Kepler are not young. Gallo has no value except as a DFA where the Twins pick up his contract and the Twins get a 24 year old reliever in A ball. ,25,26 are not young in terms of baseball. In mlb experience they are young. I think pretty much any team has these players in their system. An unmet ceiling, a hole here and there in their game. The only one of value really would be Wallner for a bat if it stays hot and a contender wants a bat. The return would be the same as a rental. So the question becomes are the Wichita outfielders wood enough to play? Don’t. Know

    Rental relief pitchers really shouldn’t count. People can name rental relievers, but forget that the cost was minimal

    There always seems to be a crazy team. A one year rebound still should raise a red flag. What team other than the Twins would do something like that. Maybe the Angels or the Yankees. A 3 year contract is even a risk. He got big money from the Dodgers and tanked. This is a contract year. I don’t think anyone should go more than a year with him. Don’t know what the makeup of Berlinger is. He could be great for another 5-6 years if he has the drive to do that

    It is the front office philosophy on how the game is played and taught. Manager isn’t going to change much if the philosophy of the front office doesn’t.
