  1. The more you can "fit" players into skill positions, the stronger the team will be. We have 6-7 players who "can play" 1st base (or DH.) Adding Miranda to that list doesn't help the line up.
  2. Ryan with an ERA under 3? That is a little aggressive for him! I guess they can all have a goal of an ERA under 3. Heck......the goal for them all is an ERA under 2! :)
  3. Hopefully, he can make the jump to a spot in the rotation this year. It's not like he is 22 years old anymore.......
  4. Good write up! The top three for Cleveland is going to be hard to compete with again this year!
  5. Georgia above...... is why I say....please don't waste our time...... LOL!
  6. Please don't waste our time with these.
  7. Hard right now to have Balazovic ranked at all.....unfortunately. Hanging onto 2019 results. :(
  8. Nashvilletwin 1,728o, Seth Stohs said: Good point as always Seth - but good arms are always at a premium and another light hitting likely one year defensive specialist in our outfield is redundant. Gordon earned the ABs that Taylor and Gallo and Kepler will be taking. So, yeah, I liked Sisk, we already have enough D and not enough O in our outfield, and I wanted to see Gordon get the opportunity he earned. That’s why I though it was dumb. ************** Agree with Nashville here! Simmons and Florimon were all-star "caliber" at shortstop but couldn't hit.....so we ran them out of town! Taylor is in the same boat for me. Gallo or Kepler can handle centerfield once in awhile. This will just take the bat out of Larnach or..... (gasp) ...Gordon! LOL!
  9. Puckett had an OPS below 700 his first 1000 at bats.....guys on TD would have HATED that!
  10. Yes...even Puckett! Puck didn't turn into Puckett..... until after about 1000 MLB at bats........ rv78 1 hour ago, miracleb said: Hunter maybe, NO WAY Puckett.
  11. Kirilloff..... "still having some pain swinging?" I have seen that elsewhere on TD....where is that coming from??
  12. I'm not a "negative Gallo" guy....but 12M for a guy that Larnach would match numbers with...... is the trade off. Could have been money spent elsewhere to boost the roster.
  13. Several of you would have HATED Torii Hunter and Kirby Puckett in their first few years.........
  14. Where are the photos from Twins Fest of the slimmer Miranda ......everyone has been talking about? :)
  15. I would argue that Arraez's best year was 2019....but he did get more at bats last year. Also agree with mike (above)......let Larnach EAT! We are talking about giving up major prospects for a guy(Reynolds) who will have the same numbers as Larnach would have if he played full-time!
  16. Love it! Funny......goal for Gallo: "maintain a 200 average" Funny......but......OUCH!
  17. Hard pass! Larnach ALONE ......has the possibility of matching Reynolds numbers this year....... given 400 at bats each.
  18. Boy, I don't like any of these options. Buxton never was able to master the bunt....... to be able to use his speed to get on base. He has definitely converted to a power hitter with a lower batting average, more strikeouts, and more extra base hits. That is NOT a recipe for a lead-off hitter.
  19. Taylor has been a regular in KC......which is why they have been bad. Let's bring that over to the Twins........grrrrrrr! Bat him in the '9-hole'.....says it all. Twins will regret losing Sisk!
  20. and Canterino is a 2024 guys...not this year. Still VERY high hopes for him!
  21. Giving up Sisk for Taylor is going to be a 5=8 year disaster for the Twins. He did/does have an issue with walks but they have steadily been reducing. There will be a collective "groan" from this group .........every time Taylor steps up the the plate. Agree above on Julien!!
  22. I would like to be positive regarding Mahle....but shoulder injuries typically just don't "go away." Hope I'm wrong....but that is going to be troublesome......
