    After adding Pineda, and after adding Story, this team is still a 4 place team....with this pitching staff. Swap in Gray for Berrios.....that part seems pretty even. Swap in Story and Urshela bats for Donaldson.....that seems pretty even. We appear to be the same as last year (at best.) I guess we can still bank on the rest of the division getting worse.....

    We got rid of Berrios because we were going to be a poor team....... so why not get something for him. Now we give up a recent #1 pick to GET a similar player (I thing Gray will be rock solid,) to be a poor team. Makes no sense.

    "Sanchez could be a primary DH for the Twins when not catching, and with his extreme power potential he could be a scary force, especially against lefties, against whom he posted a .835 OPS in 2021." I sure hope the Twins don't screw over Jeffers again by letting Sanchez hit against all the lefties.......

    Not a fan of this trade. Lite hitting SS with a good glove.....that has not worked for us in the past. How far off is Palacios from matching Kiner-Falefa's batting numbers? His defense might be close. And then you still have Garver.

    Story isn't intersted in a one year deal.....he will get a multiple year, 100M deal. He started slow with injury last year but came on strong the last two months to "re-prove" himself. Twins are not getting him on a one year deal.

    Jermaine Palacios...would his defense be "average" to "above average" in the majors? I have heard mix comments on this. If he would be a solid FIELDING shortstop, then lets take his .225 batting average. Otherwise we can pay Andrelton Simmons again (A LOT MORE) for the same results? (Simmons is a better defender for sure...but I guess.....how much better?)

    I agree with most everything that Tony n Rodney says except I am having trouble with Kepler. He has had 1.5 solid seasons in his entire major/minor league career. Does his defense offset a .220 batting average........maybe? 23 home runs....maybe?

    Edouard Julien would be my pick as someone who will rise up the charts this season!

    Roughly 4-5 of our top 20 probably list 2nd base as their best position. That is unfortunate. My guess is that MANY other teams have a similar 2nd baseman glut(?) I do like to see all of those pitchers though!

    Oh boy...someone who mentions the death of a coach, social injustice, and covid and reasons for a poor season......is probably in for another poor season. Hopefully that is not the case here.

    It sure would be nice if Lewis or Martin (or both) could be a middle of the pack shortstop (defensively.) That would solve a lot of concerns.

    Balazovic verse Bundy getting major league starts. I know who I would choose. But Bundy might get one more win that Balazovic....and the front office needs to be a 500 team this year......

    the video's don't work from Iphone's either. Bottown line....I am guessing no one has seen any of the videoa for months and months! I am not complaining....just that someone is putting in a lot of effort....for nothing!

    Hopefully his numbers this year are as eye-popping as Canterino and Winder last year. He needs to make that jump to stay in the conversation as a top prospect.

    Hey Brock....addblocker is not the issue. I am guessing whatever the glitch is....it is the reason there are never any comments on the videos....because no one even goes to view them anymore.....

    Shoot....add blocker is still not the reason...video's don't even populate. Again....I am guessing this is why no one is commenting....becuse no one can view them.

    The main point is that a 4.50 ERA needs to be from our 4th or 5th starter to have a shot at a 500 season. NOT our #1 or #2 starters. Why pay money for a 4.50 ERA. I would rather "waste" the innings on a cheap, prospect who can develop into MORE than a 4.50 ERA!

    The Twins will pick up the option for 14M next year. A lot of strike out....yep. 30 home runs.....all teams will pay 14M for that.

    It will be 4 years since that solid 2018 season. That is a long time .....I don't care what bad breaks a guy has gotten. He is only 23 years old (soon,) so this year will let us know if he is back to being a top prospect.......or a Nick Gordon type of contributor.

    I have high hopes for Ryan and the speed of the fastball isn't necessarily everything. I think the problem right now is that we would like him to be: "Ryan looks like the team's number three starter." Unfortunately, he is probably our #1 starter right now......
