  1. We need to wait and see if Paddock can regain his form in AAA before the end of the season, but yes, we could use middle relief help. Wouldn't it be nice if we had 1.5 WAR, 24 home runs in 410 at bats Rooker as our right-handed left fielder instead of LupLow ..
  2. Agreed. I would replace Wallner with Larnach right now if for nothing more than letting Wallner regain his stroke in AAA. We haven't made the playoffs technically yet, so why not go with the hot hand? But you have to admire that even though Wallner is in a slump, he is still getting on base at a 333 clip due to walks.
  3. Figuring out how to get Gordon on the team in September is easy. But post-season is damn near impossible. If Gordon batted right handed it would be a piece of cake.
  4. Twins had to bring Krilloff up for a multiple of reasons. Who believes Gallo really has a foot contusion. I don't like it that Gallo is still lurking in the shadows. Should have cut the cord once and for all ..
  5. I'm not saying Julien is a plus defender but I think when he came up he was worried about making mistakes and thinking too much which is understandable. Now that he has garnered confidence he's free to just react to the ball. All he has to be is an average defender and Julien is good as gold.
  6. I'm also pleased he seems to finally have somewhat close to batting slots in the lineup for players instead of his usual helter shelter approach. Just the fact he has a set leadoff man when Julien starts is a big improvement..
  7. WEll, I've been hard on him but I've got to give credit where credit is due. Gallo sure can hit catchers ...
  8. Okay, Krilloff is tearing the cover off the ball in AAA. Let's get him up here to play first base. If DeSawn Keirsey wasn't lefthanded I bring him up to replace Luplow. He stolen 36 bases bases and can play centerfold so I'm not sure we shouldn't do it anyway. Would make a much better punch runner than Gallo. If Luplow is so good against lefthanders why is he batting .214. Or he can replace Gallo who's hitting .172. This whole lefty batting against righty or righty against lefty is ridiculous if the guy can't hit in the first place.
  9. I'm going to assume Jenkins will start next seasin at low A but at this rate who knows.
  10. His game is aging. Bad foot and ankle and he's probably seen his better days as a player. If we were paying him 18-20 million I be okay with it, maybe but the fact we have two studs in the wings like Lewis and Lee makes me even question why we signed him the second go around.
  11. I get that Cleveland is ahead of us in the waiver wire but how is it they can take 3 players ahead of us? Seems like the fair thing to do is let a team pick one and then have to wait for the others if they go unclaimed.
  12. Yes, it's a pipe dream because the Twins already blew their wad on an aging shortstop.
  13. Basically the game boiled down to when Lewis hit his home run. We lose if it's a solo shot and we win if it was when we had bases loaded or when we had two men on. Not complaining, just saying.
  14. We shoukd give him days off for more reasons than one ..
  15. I've followed Fundy through his minor league grind. It's really fun seeing the young guys get their chance and perform. I love that he's a lefty.
  16. They pinch his Vasquez for Julien. Seriously. Let's hit an average hitter for a great hitter because of which side of the plate he hits from and then leave us exposed to having a backup father for the rest of the game. Nice win, however. Now let's take at least two of three from the Guardians. Even one will be acceptable. 0 and 3 would be disastrous.
  17. You read my mind. So much to discuss in this article but my brain explodes everytime Gallo comes to the plate a strikes out like he doesn't even have a clue. You know insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. But I'm the one going insain every time I watch Gallo strike out over and over again.
  18. How bought we solve our middle reliever problem in the play offs by going with a six man rotation. Two starters sharing 7 or 8 innings per game leaving 2, one or none relief innings..
  19. I can give the benefit of the doubt to much of what the Ywins have dine but not in regards to Joey Gallo. That is just 100% stubbornness plain and simple.
  20. My gut feelings were usually aligned with Gardy but are very often not aligned with Rocco .. Not sure what to make of that ..
  21. Good article .. I remember reading another article just before the season started that said Correa talked Buxton into not playing centerfield for the team. I wonder if Correa was a part of that suggestion. Or when his knee hadn't healed enough to play centerfield at the beginning of this season. Should they have held him out of playing until the knee fully healed? At this point, Buxton is of no value unless he can play in the field, so I'm all for giving it a go. But if Buxton is never able to return to the outfield one would hope he would retire. My only other suggestion would be to make him a first baseman as Krilloff can play a decent outfield. But I'm not crazy about that either ..
  22. It's one thing to let a starter work through it because it's disastrous to the bullpen when a starter gets pulled in the first inning but relievers in a tight game should be given a three-player leash. It's not like the bullpen wasn't rested after what was it, 3 off days in like 8 days?
