All the talk about not trading Ryan on or before the deadline is silly. Every GM saw him give up 6 HR's in a game and also not look good in the next outing as well. He has shown to not be able to pitch a whole season in his career.

They had to move both Jeffers and Larnach because you now see the affect of them playing for a team that everyone is saying they won't be on next year. If the team still wanted Jeffers you have to think an offer would have been made by now. And Larnach is playing to show other teams what he can do and I think he has fallen off because of no trade.

Look, I absolutely would have facilitated a trade for him in offseason. I think it's time for the organization to turn the page. But I don't put even an ounce of blame on Buxton for the state of this franchise.

Jenkins and Culpepper seem as advertised…judged not just by results. They seem not to be overwhelmed right from the start. They seem to belong…much, much more importantly, they themselves seem to think they belong. Step one. Still mainly interested in their ability to stay healthy, especially Jenkins.

Meanwhile, Lee is becoming a decent piece that a good team could win with. If you can find a place for Keaschall….. Bradley, Abel, etc, maybe another hitting prospect or two…I’m not that pessimistic on the future. If I could just trust the org to build on this, I’d be downright optimistic regarding a window of, say 2028-2031.

I will take what I have heard directly from Buxton, he has been pretty adamant about wanting to play with one team his whole career.

You're free to believe whatever you like. But beliefs aren't facts.

Yes, he's clearly stated he's wanted to be a Twin for life. He also stated last December that he didn't want to stay on a team that was rebuilding. He was also hurt that the FO didn't clarify their stance on never trying to - or wanting to - trade him.

That's his prerogative. And it's all a moot point anyway. You can't trade him now even if he was unhappy here, because you'd get nothing for him in return. The league knows he can't stay on the field.

It's too bad the bats are slumping at a critical point in the season, but it was going to happen eventually. They got hot in June-July and that wasn't going to be something that was going to last through a playoff run. Not to mention the injuries to the starting pitchers was also too much come playoff time. If they really wanted to make a run, they needed to do a lot better than Kremer.

I was at the game yesterday... it was a fairly dull experience. Not much to report.
