Twins call up Walker Jenkins….before Sept 1, right?

It feels like the events of this weekend are making the likelihood of Jenkins getting called up for tomorrow in Sacramento much higher.

If Zoll had guts, the best roll of the dice right now is to bring up Jenkins. He looks more ready than Culpepper. I lije KC bat but hus defense isn't rock solid right now. I hated that decision he made last night to throw to 3rd base, just not risk worth  taking that chance instead of throwing to first. Seemed like a panic choice.

I might argue that calling up Emmanuel Rodriguez is kind of more important for the Twins long term.

In my opinion, this means Jenkins is likely. I always assume the MLB/Team official site wouldn't post this sort of thing without at least running it by the team..  No reason to get the fanbase additionally lathered up then let everyone down (although maybe I'm wrong and the team sites are 100% independent with no team influence).

Rodriguez is playing CF every day right now in St. Paul. Jenkins isn’t playing CF much at all.

Not sure what time horizon you're inferring by "right now".... Jenkins started in CF as recently as 8/21 (4 games ago). In total he's started 10 games at CF in August. 7 games total at other positions. It's true that he's started at DH/LF/LF in their last 3 games. Prior to that he'd been in CF the vast majority of games in 2026.

Which was to be expected.  I just hope they don't drag out thru the weekend hoping treatment will work.  Make a decision and move forward.

hahahaha. Any org that hasn't actually prepped this decision is badly run. They must know what they are doing, just not telling anyone yet. No org could be so badly run they don't know what they will do.

To be ridiculously generous, they are likely waiting for Buck to proclaim himself healthy or not, before announcing anything, but that is not the same as not having a decision......

Normally I'd agree.  But for this front office/ownership group, that's kinda their thing.  Like when they couldn't understand why fans weren't thrilled to learn they were pulling the team off the market, or when they jacked up payroll only to pull the plug on Year 1 of their alleged 5 year plan to build up payroll (Gleeman referred to this; I wish I had a link)

But yeah, if the team has any oversight of the content on their site, then it would be a really strange thing to post if that wasn't the plan

I don't understand how a story concerning the outfield situation can fail to mention Emmanuel Rodriguez, when they mentioned Gray,  GG, and Wallner.  But here we are.

Buxton will pronounce himself "healthy".  The eye test and and lack of production for the last 5-6 weeks scream he isn't.
