I wouldn't be surprised to see Kremer also assigned to St Paul initially.

Then who is the fifth starter, Rojas is not stretched out.  There was no reason to send Zebby down.

Ryan Bradley Prielipp Ober then likely Rojas, but watch his usage before that. Paredes to the 60 day, which we knew would happen. And Kremer or Zebby brought back up after once through this cycle.. barring another pickup

Tough for Zebby. He gave them some solid starts this season and I suspect he'll be back at some point before season's end.

So is Rojas going to give you 6 innings per outing while giving up 3 to 4 runs, because that is what you are moving on from.  And in a pennant race at least you know Matthews will give you a chance.  Rojas has looked good the last couple of outings but still struggles throwing strikes.

Might not be the ideal option but as the roster sits now that's how I see it shaking out.  Won't have to wait long to see. Oriole fan boards are mixed  on seeing Kremer gone. I think the Twins have some tweaks they're going to work on first before he gets a start here.

They just released a picture of Kremer's new number.  He will be the number 5 starter.  This is just a continuation of Falvey's playbook, have a younger player who is producing and showing promise and replace him with an underperforming vet.  I would understand more if he replaced Preiliepp, but it makes no sense to replace Zebby with Kremer.

He wore Miranda's old number in Orange and Black.  You can tell how serious a team is about keeping a guy as the core by the number they assign. 64 was never gonna be a centerpiece..

The next two weeks are important as well, I would think they would want the best roster possible.  But then again Gray and Roden are here as well.  Not sure these are the moves of a contending team

Zebby's outing last night started scary, and quickly turned stunning! Definitely going to be seeing more from him, and I can't wait!

He can’t be optioned without his consent. He’s also under team control for another year under the current MLB labor agreement.

Minter up Rogers DFA would have been my move. But Greggory says we’re not GMs so we shouldn’t care about roster moves. We’re not players either so we shouldn’t care about how the team does.

Immediate (next 5 days):  Maybe this is a roster management move.  Using the extra reliever would get you to next Thursday in KC where Matthew's spot would come up next in the rotation.  More likely just for the Seattle trip as Kremer has to be added to the roster in 72 hours.  I do not know the rules on an acquiring player whether they can immediately assign him to AAA and then call him up a few days later.  Uncertain on whether Kremer even has options left.  I know, for someone like Zebby, you can't recall him for 15-days unless he is replacing an injured player.

Short-term (5-15 days): By sending Zebby down, you can't recall him for 15-days unless he is replacing someone for injury.  Ultimately, you may be stuck with the potential of a couple of bad starts from Kremer with no immediate levers left to pull.

Mid-term (remainder of season): Not sure it does much either way.  Potentially allows you to better manage your staff for September baseball.  I've never been a fan of the Twins philosophy of "but he's got options bro" management of players.  This move doesn't answer any questions on how they intend on handling Preilipp or Rojas the rest of the season, which is probably the most frustrating for us.

Important game for these teams, and Prielipp has a tough assignment going up against Gilbert, but conversely, he has the boost of pitching to Mariners hitters.
