Joe Ryan has nothing to do with incompetent hitters.

True, but he's also turning into a second-half worthless pumpkin, like he usually does.

What misplay are you referring to.

The one where he was waiting to jump for a ball that hit the wall 10 feet away from him at eye level

With all due respects to Taj, right now, I think our bullpen is better than our starting pitching.  And that’s not saying very much.

Three runs in six innings is not a bad outing if the offense would show any signs of life.

Cameron is getting wobbly command. If they're patient they may have an opening.

but can they do anything with an opening?

True enough, but nowadays, the pitchers almost have to throw a shutout for us to have any chance of winning.  That's not a good formula for winning baseball games.

Have a guy on second. You can only walk bunt and steal so much. Eventually a hit is required.

If you are talking about the Lewis hit on Tuesday night, that ball hit high enough off the wall that it was not reachable by any outfielder.

Just for that play, I think Salvy should sneak into the HOF

Salvy eats Twins for breakfast and Jose puts milk on them. Divisional breakfast.

If they faced Cameron 160 times a year the twins would lose at least 120 times.  They can not touch him when he pitches against them.  He is not having a good season.  This team must want to sell at the deadline because they are lucky to win 1 game in this series

But that's on the lineup, not the pitcher.  The pitcher still earned a quality start, which is one of the better metrics to measure a pitcher by.

True but the original comment was basically saying the starting pitching was not that good.

His size and his performance stats

Maybe it wasn't clear, but my barb was aimed directly at the very offensive offense, not the pitching.

The bullpen has been good lately. What is wrong with the starters. The starters have been doing a good job. The bats are woeful.

Very good player.  Not an HOF'er.

Need to look at his overall background...it may not be on his first try..but he will make it..
