Lance Parrish 39.5 WAR / 106 OPS+ Jorge Posada 42.7 WAR / 121 OPS+ Brian McCann 31.6 WAR / 110 OPS+ Salvy Perez 35.2 WAR / 103 OPS+

HOF Vote Parrish 1.7% , Posada 3.8%,  McCann 1.8%

Salvy will be an interesting case. He hasn't been good defensively in a long time which will probably hold him back.

Need to look at his overall background...it may not be on his first try..but he will make it..

Disagree.  Need to look at his overall numbers.

What’s really upsetting is when we can’t get over .500!!! This was series to do this! With tough road trip upcoming season will be finished-then look forward to football 🤮💩👎

perez...war not great.  But 9 time all star..5 gold gloves.. 5 silver slugger.  ...star of WS in 2015..longevity...not a first round...but deserves it as much as Mauer

Three runs in six innings is not a bad outing if the offense would show any signs of life.

True enough.  But not when the offense is treating scoring runs like it invokes the plague and therefore should be avoided at all costs.

The pitching is still doing fine, this is still on the offense.

The media likes him, he'll sneak in....

Salvy's case may come down to who else will be on the ballot at the same time.  If he is not voted in by the writers, I don't see him ever being voted in, especially when you compare him to some of the others that are currently not in the HOF.  He won't have the numbers, even for a catcher, which allows for a lower threshold.  HR and RBI's for a catcher will help him, but not much else.

As one person stated...media likes him. ...the HOF is partly political....

The game is on TV here but I found other things to be more worth my time, and the fact I did not hear any crowd getting excited, I knew I missed nothing.

Stats say this is (or perhaps was now) the best offense in the American League? The American League are loafers if that is the case. This is a three day tragedy of effort and ineptitude.

An interesting, but quite accurate, portrayal of the current situation.

Agreed, the dude had bWAR over 4 just twice in his career. League average or worse hitter in 4 of his first 7 seasons, when his defense was peak.

One WS win doesn’t too anything

Posada won 4 and is a Yankee and never came close to HOF votes

Well..I am amazed some of the people they include and exclude. I have been to the HOF twice. Of course, I really question how Mauer made it on the first ballot..

There is a lot of potential regression built into that "best offense" ranking.
