He is going to be 27 before the next season starts, what is the difference between him and Fedko at this point.  Great minor league numbers that have not translated to success in the major leagues.

Baseball is a tough game to find success and opportunities are also difficult to come by very often. The competition is fierce. Roden is ok as is Fedko but they have a little pressure to make things happen when their name is called.

I understand that, my point is more to the comments I see on here.  If feels like many on here think Roden should be in the starting outfield or at least a platoon.  He has been given some run, but what has he earned and he is starting to age out of prospect status.

Because of the pending strike or lockout of 2027 , if they are added to the 40 man roster they would have to sit  ...

They need their development to continue honing their skills ,   I dont think we will see any of the top prospects until baseball resumes  , that is just my opinion but it makes the most sense , you don't want them sitting out baseball when they can continue playing in the minors...
