Can the Twins stomach that? After three years of Vazquez they should be used to it.

Vasquez OPS+ last three years: 64, 60, 52.

Kreidler's OPS+ last three years: -38, 6, -14.

Sometimes you can't make this stuff up.

Can he bunt? Move runners over from 2nd to 3rd? Hit a sacrifice fly to score a runner from 3rd? Steal a base when needed?

I love a great defensive play as much as a home run and there is more to hitting than OBP. But 766th out of 766 means only one thing, the only way is up!!

So, if he moves up to 750, you'd be ok with that?

The OF stuff is pointless; Emmanuel Rodriguez can play better OF, has far more upside offensively, and honestly should be breaking camp with the Twins. Kreidler's only needed talent is on the infield, which is stocked with people who can't field, or can't hit, or both. Hopefully they can shake the AAA tree a little harder. (Culpepper should get AAA time, but as things stand now, I 'd rather see him getting starts with the Twins, and Brooks Lee being the utility guy than the other options listed here.)

Just bring up Culpepper already! If the Twins' choices are Kreidler, Gray  and Arcia...what do the Twins have to lose by promoting Culpepper now? Let him get the freshman yips over with, while he is learning he ropes.  Let's see what Lee can do at as a backup at SS, 3B and 2B. Lee's switch hitting (if he hits better than the 766th ranked hitter in the league) will be a bonus as a utility player.

Just infuriating.  They need to woo fans back to Targét?  Practically every step they've made (and NOT made) this offseason has been in the opposite direction.  This tri-headed SS monster of Kreidler, Arcia and Gray is a pathetic joke.  For God's sake, how long did IKF dangle out there, when we could have picked him up for a song, even on a 1 year deal, like he got from the Red Sox.  He's handled the position well over the years, and he's stinging the hell out of the ball so far in ST.

Not making a worthwhile offer for Zach Littel is a pathetic joke.  Not making any move toward Giolito is a pathetic joke.  And especially, not landing Kopech and annointing him the closer is the most pathetic joke so far.

This is gonna be a long, pathetic joke of a season.

Maybe he can figure out how to be a relief pitcher, then he wouldn't have to hit.  Or they could just DH for him and let Joe Ryan hit??

I’m still anticipating the Twins will add someone released by another team to fill this role.

Or perhaps Alex Jackson traded for a utility infielder

It looks like Dylan Moore is available. He's had some pretty good years with the Mariners and remains versatile. He has neither hit nor played much shortstop in the last couple years.

Edit: Moore is activating his opt-out probably to force the Phils to commit to him or permit him to be a free agent. He may well not be on the market.
