I am still really curious to see what the Twins end up doing with Alex Jackson. I don't think they will carry three catchers on the roster, but without options I don't know what the plan is here. He's not hitting well this spring, so I guess the most likely outcome is he is DFAd.

Jeffers' bat and glove both suck this spring, so a DFA would be foolish.

Lewis hit a home run to start the Spring Training season, it seems, that was a bad thing.

Early success seems to work against him.

Its too late to plan otherwise but I see him as a 6 7 or 8 hitter.

Odd, MLB shows Mathhews still pitching, is there more than one Matthews?

I think he's allowed to re-enter in the pre-season.

My sons are half your age - not especially Boston fans either - and I would be disappointed in them if they didn't react the same way.

Gonzo and ERod go 3/3 and then get sent down.  Figures.

Gonzalez will the first of the two to finally come up.

I left when it was 8-0 and I obviously missed out on an offensive outburst (eventually). Nice to see Morris have some good inning from the pen. The Twins looked like the 2019 bomba squad (all homers, no pitching) out there. Great to see Royce knock one out. I am really excited to see if Gabriel Gonzalez would be able to contribute at the major league level. As someone who really only started following him last season, all I have seen him do is mash at every level he's been at. I think he will likely be up before the all-star break, and hopefully will take the opportunity and run with it.

The Twins finished tied for 8th best in ERA in 2019.

Interesting defensive positions--in the regular season would Clemens and Wagaman be switched? Lee has exclusively played short this spring AFAIK, but can Gray handle shortstop? I believe the consensus is that Kreidler is the Twins' best defensive SS, so he is getting reps at different positions and finally Martin is getting another start in center field. Is he truly an option there?

I think the plan is to keep three catchers for now. With Caratini's ability to play first, he looks like he could take some at-bats there and at DH. I still think they are trying to trade Jeffers, but haven't found a team willing to do so.

Good old Twins, trying out everyone at every position. I honestly like Martin in center instead of at the corner. I agree, I think Kreidler should be at SS, but they want to get a really good look at flexibility with Gray and Wagaman.
