Sim- back in mid season form ----1st batter =KABOOM    1-0

For the record, 2nd batter.

KABOOM is accurate though.

It looks like they still need a bat first catcher.

Not only that, but the pitch count would support him going deeper into the ballgame.  Later in spring when the limits go higher, if this holds up if could be significant.  (And might keep Topa out of the game.)

I wonder what they could get for Wallner, Jeffers and Lewis in a trade?

Woof on Topa.  Objectively, he should be DFA and possibly given time in AAA once he clears.  He might simply be toast at 35.

RBI, just like winning games, are not important; such is said in the spirit of Charles Ponzi.

I am still really curious to see what the Twins end up doing with Alex Jackson. I don't think they will carry three catchers on the roster, but without options I don't know what the plan is here. He's not hitting well this spring, so I guess the most likely outcome is he is DFAd.

Zebby just has mental breakdowns on the mound far too often and the game quickly gets away. With the defense we have we can't afford that.

He’s the guy with amazing stuff but can’t put it together in a game situation. Defense doesn’t help. There’s also no way this offense can slug it’s way out of a five run hole in the first inning.

All of these runs coming with 2 outs 🤮

What was that, 32 pitches for Zebby in the 1st? Ouch.

As a Zebby optimist heading into the year, I am still cautiously excited about his future, but the case for Abel over Matthews for the fifth rotation spot on opening day is growing stronger and stronger by the day.

That's true about the offense being unable to recover, but sheesh. Passed ball, slow roller and the wheels fall off. If you discount Zebby who's honestly left though? Raya Morris and Prielipp are nowhere near ready, for what we have seen. Better hope Joe and Bailey are ok to go. Abel and Taj are pretty locked in as 3 and 4 in my mind.  If Zebby isn't a bottom of the rotation starter I guess. SWR has it by default.
