Permanent Twins Fan Verified Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Well, the Twins weren't anywhere near the postseason this year, but there are a lot of ex-twins in the postseason. big dog Verified Member Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 Yankees have Luis Gil, and Brett Hedrick is on the 40-man. Gil wasn’t on the wild card roster because he started last Sunday. Permanent Twins Fan 1

Luis Gil will definitely be added though.
lecroy24fan Verified Member Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 I also did not go past the active rosters listed on Fangraphs but I did expect to miss someone. Permanent Twins Fan 1
Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Thanks for the info. Very happy that Rortvedt, Theilbar & Rogers are having a nice postseason. Wish they were still with the Twins, along with Polanco, Varland, Duran, Berrios, Gil and Bader Permanent Twins Fan and Dave Borton 2
Dave Borton Verified Member Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 Polo cranks two off Skubal as Mariners squeak by the Tigers. Gotta love the guy even if I am rooting for Detroit. LakesPibble and Doctor Wu 2
Doctor Wu Verified Member Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 I had no idea that Rortvedt had made it back to the majors, and with the Dodgers of all teams? Totally bizarre, but good luck to him! Permanent Twins Fan 1
shortround81 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 Glad Paddack is okay. (Also, between this and the Fry HBP, is Skubal cursed?)

Doctor Wu Verified Member Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 I haven't noticed Castro's name in any of the Cubs box scores with the Brewers. Is he injured or just not being used?

He batted .170 with a .485 OPS in his time with the Cubs, so he hasn't exactly earned a starting role Doctor Wu 1

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 Brusdar Graterol is also on the 60 day il for the Dodgers, just to be complete... Remember how the Red Sox didn't want him in the end. But we still got Kenta Meada more or less straight up (but rather less than more?*) from the Dodgers afterwards. *-Kudos to all who get that reference... Those minor league contracts with opt-outs are a tough call for the signing teams. IIRC, Hoffman looked pretty good in Spring Training, but the Twins pitching staff was pretty healthy and there wasn't room for Hoffman and that was pretty much the same Danny Coulombe when Baltimore signed him. shortround81 and Permanent Twins Fan 1 1
Permanent Twins Fan Verified Member Posted November 4, 2025 Author Posted November 4, 2025 Former Twin MVP for this postseason has got to be Louis Varland for setting the record for most appearances in a single postseason. It's too bad he wasn't able to get a ring, but his performance was impressive. RpR 1
