I’m not as versed in the various roster rules as some, but was there anyway to keep him around even if he wasn’t on the big league roster? 25 years old throwing nearly 100 mph. Feels like that’s a guy you don’t give up on when you have actual bums still on the roster.

The club’s 40-man roster was full before either move. The Twins cleared up a spot for Coulombe when they traded utility player Michael Helman to the Cardinals for cash on Thursday.
