Current stretch is a real test. There is the potential to fall out of contention right now unless the ship is righted soon. I think the Astros are diminished, but still a good club. Winning this series is a lot more important for the Twins.

I’ll be at the games on Saturday and Sunday. I hope I can cheer my favorite team to a win. I have seen the Twins in person on the road six times IIRC and my record is 0-6. I hope the trend reverses.

Have fun at the games, I hope you get to see two wins. The Astros have been playing better, winning seven out of their last ten games. Twins face two lefties and a tough righty, so not in their favor, but who knows? Will Rocco let Wallner and Larnach start against the two lefties?

Should he? Neither Larnach nor Wallner have great numbers against LH pitchers. Replacement options aren’t great, but ……

At this point, Larnach no, but Wallner has only 11 AB vs lefties this year with three hits and a home run. Not a lot of AB, but I don't think we view Wallner as a platoon-type player, do we?

Did some research. Houston is beatable. They traded Tucker and now Alvarez is hurt, so basically they have no left handed bats right now. Great job Houston front office! 🤣

The starting pitching this series could decide it. If the Twins can keep it close and get to Jax & Duran they can win. But Houston’s bullpen guys are also dominating again.

So yeah.

Wallner in Larnach out for tonight's starting lineup.

For some reason I'm cautious but optimistic about this series. Guys putting too much pressure on themselves at home? C4.. welcome back to H town.

I'm the same way.  The White Sox just left with winning 1 game and just about made Hader blow a save last night.

I like to check the next opponent's bullpen usage too before we arrive (or they arrive if applicable). Got to get an early lead. Let's do it.

Wallner in. Larnach sitting. You know how we fix that? Knock the starter out.

Jeffers batting second.. we have to give that a break. Here's something novel. Put Castro 2nd

I agree but Rocco is going to do what Rocco wants , it crazy having Jeffers that high up ...

If they win on your lucky number 7 game , then you can go to your 8th game , otherwise pack and go fishing ...

Watching strikes middle of plate  before swinging at garbage,  Sorry folks but to me Jeffers  is way over rated , if rocco would bat him 7-8-9 might make a bit more sense, but other than 2-3 pl;ayers whole line up could be 8-9 in the order

Can't believe a catcher ( jeffers ) can't recognize a pitch thrown by the opponents pitcher , he sees spins on balls and strikes all day long as a catcher  , he guesses wrong alot and those down the middle pitches he gets , I just can't believe he let's them go by , it drives me nuts ...

He's got to wake up , on a 2 strike count they aren't going to groove you a middle middle pitch , a batter usually gets one good pitch to hit and jeffers needs to capitalize on that one pitch ...

It worked a month ago. That's two games in a row for Jeffers.. I don't love that for a different reason. But maybe there's a history. We shall see. Very soon.
