Pathetic is a wholly inadequate way to describe pretty much everything about this team right now.  And it's getting harder to watch by the game.

They've been impossible to watch since August of last year. I believe only the White Sox have a worse record in all of baseball since that time.

If we're going to have to watch a 100-loss team, let's see some rookies and new faces while we're at it. Don't force us to watch a bunch of 30+ year-old bums with huge contracts struggling to score 2 runs per game. It's absolutely unwatchable.

They'll be packin' the house for the Tigers this weekend for sure. 🙄

Unless there's a promotion or two going on, I'd be shocked if they averaged 20,000 per game.  Likely a good deal less.

I couldn't agree more with your thoughts here.

At this point, I think both Correa and the Twins would be ready to move on. They're not winning anything with him and he's wasting the last 2-3 prime years of his career on an awful baseball team. Wouldn't be surprised if he waives the no trade clause next winter.

I mentioned this earlier. Why in the world would be have signed with us?? I would have taken 10M with a contender. Maybe even 5M. Makes no sense to waste your last years with this pathetic team, unless it's just about money

That's most likely true, but do you think the average fan that attends games knows who most of the players are?

Probably not.  And they probably wouldn't care if they were watching at least a semi-competent team showing some enthusiasm and at least looking like they're trying to win.

I'm not seeing much of that right now.

If he landed on either coast, he’d be catching way more heat than he ever will in Minnesota. Perfect scenario where he’s at now. Still gets the money and the more pleasant fans and media won’t ride his *** too hard when he starts the season hitting .149. Granted, he almost did land on one of the coasts..

True. However how would you like to spend everyday with this bunch? Maybe a better team would bring out better results in him, like his Houston teams.

Spoiler alert:  it's just about money.  Carlos Dior has been checked out for the better part of a year.  I think he realized the media, organization, or fans will never hold him accountable for anything so he's content to just sit back and collect the paycheck.  He plays like someone daring a manager to sit him.

Ok, so why did they pull Ober at 73 pitches today?

I know.  My bad.  Jinxed 'em.

I bought 2 tiks to Sat and Sun so guaranteed attendance of at least 4.

I don't know?

But i speculate a combination of how far we are into the season, and a general continued caution of not over exerting Ober in general?

Or perhaps just to see if any of us were paying attention.
