I hope the Twins get in and make a run. But if they don't get in, or back in and get swept there has to be serious consideration of replacing the manager. It will be very hard to get fans into Target field if that happens and Rocco is back. On top of salary cutting last year and possibly more next year.

Falvey may be feeling some heat as well.

No. There are so many worse ownership groups than what the Twins have. Go ahead and scroll down the list of teams in the standings and pick the ones you'd definitely want to own the Twins over the Pohlads vs. the ones you'd definitely rather stay status quo. The Pohlads are somewhere in the middle IMHO.

"other billionaires suck too" is not an argument against the fact that the pohlads suck and should sell the team.

I don't think this team capable of better than 3-3 and that will almost certainly not be good enough. The line-up is cooked. It's over.

3-3 might do it if Atlanta still has something to play for.

They only have to make up one game on either KC or Detroit.

The argument is not about "billionaires." The argument is there's a 75% chance any new owner will be the same or worse than the Pohlad's.

On that we disagree. Why be content with something we agree is bad, just because you're afraid it can get worse?

New ownership often tries to prove themselves, make an impact. Whether that is good or bad, is unknown but all we know about the pohlads 40 year philosophy is that they worship the almighty dollar. They couldn't care less about the Twins baseball product. Never have.

As frustrating as the past month has been I’m going to stay positive and hope for the best. It’s not impossible that the bats wake up as it’s happened before this season. I mean what good does it do to just give up?  Plenty of time for post mortems after the season.

The biggest problem amongst many is starting Mathews, Festa and the others who have about three wins and ten losses.  Ive been saying it all year with soooooo many dissenters and negative replies.  They should have signed Sonny Gray.  His 13 wins with a 71-win team last year would have translated to the Twins winning the division and/or being solidly in a wild card position.  Dont tell me he wanted to leave.  That has been proven not true.  The Twins didnt try.  Good teams keep their good players.  The Twins revenue according to Forbes was 342 million in 2023.  Their payroll was 156 million.  That is almost a 200-million-dollar difference.  The Pohlads are worth about four billion.  Are you telling me they couldnt find 25 million to pay Gray or another Ace?  They paid themselves...... very well thank you........once again.  The bottom line is they lined their pockets and cheaped out......on us.......the fans.

He’d have to throw ALL shutouts in September.

I get the inconsistencies with the Rookies - the anxiousness when they pitch. Bottom line is the last start for each of the three were solid! Ober has pitched well his last 3 straight outings and Team hasn’t won a game. Lopez gave up 1 run through 6 last week - team lost.

If your Team can’t score the Team will lose…..even Koufax needed runs scored……so would Gray.

Everyone’s got an opinion…….the line-up does appear cooked which is embarrassing! I don’t blame a bunch of 20 something’s running out of gas on the Manager - F.O. - Ownership……they need to kick themselves and each other in the ass!

They are bigger fans of making wise banking decisions. If that comes at the expense of not having a solid left handed reliever in the bullpen....so be it..the balance line will win every time.

To bad owning a MLB franchise is so profitable, or they aren't even in this business.

Boycotting Twins games is our only option. It's the only language they understand.

I don't think the team has quit or that Rocco has lost the clubhouse - I think the Twins just don't have a lot of talent capable of carrying the team. This is the time of the season where someone(s) steps up, goes on a hot streak, and carries the lineup. That just isn't happening. I don't see who that would be. I hope I'm wrong.

4-2 gets us in!!! WE MUST support our twins this week!!! NO Vikings/Twolves/Wild chat!!! Love all 3 teams but this is twins chat room!!! Enjoy no twins game today-It’s going to be intense/stressful nerve wracking week!!! As I said WE MUST watch/support our twins NO MATTER what!!!

Interesting you mentioning support. MLB attendance is up! Twins baseball attendance is down. Not by much but enough to say, "if MLB is up, why are the playoff contending Twins not bringing in fans?"

Is it:

A) Rocco Baldelli's horrible managing style

B) Front office not having ink for contract and check signing pens

C) Outstate MN still doesn't want to go to Mpls

D) Nobody wants to pay a weeks salary for parking, food/beverage, and a poorly managed game.

E) All of the above

It is a real interesting week ahead.  Each team is playing a bottom feeder.  Det is playing a team that if they sweep Det they could, but unlikely, jump into wild card in Tampa.  KC is playing a team fighting for WC in NL, but could be out of it by weekend.  Twins should be playing a team setting up for WC matchup, that could be against Twins.  Seattle is playing a team locked into 3rd division slot, provided they do not get swept by Seattle, if Seattle sweeps Houston, then Houston may be fighting for wild card on the weekend.

All the Twins can do is take care of their business, which they have failed at really bad this month.
