Going in to tonight, if Cleveland goes .500 the rest of the way, the Twins have to go 22-15, because Cleveland has the tiebreaker.

That’s a .595 percentage, which is above their current .560 on the year. However, .560 would have them going 21-16, so they only need to go one game better than their year-to-date pace.

Additionally, I put more stake in their recent play. Take out the debacle of the first three weeks and they have played .598 pace over the past 103 games, so 22-15 isn’t at all unrealistic.

Is .598 over 100 games good?

How does mlb allow this light dimming nonsense during the game? You’ve got a guy getting loose in the pen and you’re turning the lights down.

Its California.

Twins are allergic to beating big market teams.

Well, the Padres are definitely not a big market team. They just have an owner that doesn't care about bleeding money annually.

Padres look like one of the most dangerous teams in baseball.

Definitely one of those above .500 teams that the Twins don’t do well against.

Currently 6-23 against teams with better win %

He was excellent all night. No room for error with the offense

Not saying he wasn't outside of that. But your top dog in the rotation needs to clutch up there.

Are Buxton or Correa still on the team?

Not long I suppose until we hear they had a "setback" and then they're done for the year.
