USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Interesting trivia: there are more Catholic Churches in Las Vegas than casinos. But it is Las Vegas, and donation plates in all these Churches often include casino chips along with the cash. This presents an issue, of course, since these chips aren't spendable outside of the specific casino they came from. The Churches, along with a Franciscan Monestary in suburban Henderson, developed a plan to redeem these chips. The Monestary collects all the chips once a week, sorts them, and in return for a "vig" (a percentage), cashes these chips in at the various casinos around town. They then give the cash, minus the vig, back to the Churches. Only certain, senior members of the Monestary are trusted with this duty. Collectively they're known as the chip monks. cHawk, Tlaker and Richie the Rally Goat 1 2

Correa makes up for lack of foot speed with a big body and long reach and taking great angles to balls. I think Correa has better instincts to get to the ball.

Lee is as advertised from scouting reports: soft hands with a strong arm but not enough lateral quickness to be a big league SS.

Some of the Casinos have free fruit by their chip exchange booths, and those casinos, geared as they are to notice patterns quickly picked up on the fact that these monks only ate bananas,.. Not only that, but rarely left any behind. If you listen carefully, you can hear fruit venders complain about all banana chip monks. USAFChief 1
