To be fair though, would you really wanted to have Wallner in that spot facing a lefty when his last few ABs have been April-like and he's not exactly Ted Williams against lefties?  You could have put Martin in there instead though.

I'm happy Alcala got out of that because bringing Okert in to face Yelich after Cory just got done saying Yelich is a lefthanded batter that pummels LHPs would have been hilarious.

I like Alcala's live arm, but damn...start with a slow curve or something. His command is so inconsistent. As a late reliever, he should have a pretty simple mix. Nail the 4 corners with heat. Have a get me over change, and have a decent breaking slider. Save the slow curve for the first pitch, which almost nobody swings at. Successful bullpen arms have gotten by with that mix forever.
