"DHing Vazquez allows the opportunity to pinch hit for him."

As an avowed and long term "FiReRoCcO!!" Guy, I must admit I agree with the above.

One of those two will get replaced by Wallner when a RH reliever enters. At least it'll be Vazquez.

I'd rather just have Wallner in the lineup, but if we must platoon, this is better than the other way around.

And mostly it points out, if you're committed to platoons, you need to make the effort to have the players to do it.

On another note, I hope everyone got their nap in so as to make it to at least the 7th inning stretch tonight.

I think i'm also going out for food first...

You think those innings will each be long enough for food excursions? Which team will be batting around? Or do i want to know?

Otherwise, i'm amenable to this plan. Food is good.

Nap? Just have an espresso martini and you’ll be good until midnight

Correa's going to hear it tonight. Between the days in Houston and the Giants' contract not working out, the boo birds will be loud. I remember after a game against the Yankees in 2023, he said the boos fire him up and he tends to play better. C4 delivers tonight.

Way back when I was merely really old, I fondly remember sitting in a spring training stadium with Ashbury watching Lamont Wade Jr tear it up for the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League. Teammates included our recent friend Nicky Lopez and former Twins #1 pick Tyler Jay.

On vacation recently, we went to a Dire Straits-themed restaurant. Had to pay money for muffins, but the chips were free.

Dire straits indeed.. did you get your food just as the time bell rings?

We'll see the divisional results by then. So far Tigers up on LA, KC over Bosox.  The division is looking good.

Or a Red Bull vodka if you find yourself at a dive bar.

7th inning stretch may well come after midnight for us easterners, so not sure if that helps...

Any other suggestions?

Let's hope that we're the Sultans of Swing in this weekend series.

I would put cookies in the oven at 12:15 AM EST so if you fall asleep your cookies are burnt.

Does anyone ask Rocco about his reasoning on that sort of thing?  My strong presumption is to defer to his judgment on this stuff. But I'd honestly be very interested in someone at a press conference asking why he did this.

Vasquez is the DH so they can replace him with a LH hitter when we get into the bullpen. Better than replacing Jeffers. BTW, last 4 games Vasquez is .255/.278/.451 (.729), Kepler .255/.291/.294 (.585), Larnach .173/.271/.346(.617). Maybe Vasquez is the right choice.
