Dodgers are creating a juggernaut.  Sign Yamamato and re-sign Kershaw and away they go.

Creating? They've won 625 games in the last six full seasons and won 43 of 60 in the COVID season. They've only won one World Series in that period, but that is a stretch that even the Yankees would be proud of this regular season stretch in their dominant years.

They've only won one World Series in that period because Dave Roberts has the honor of being the manager that is consistently able to get the LEAST out of being provided with the MOST.  I could see them signing Yamamoto.  Certainly Snell as a fallback failing to sign Yamamoto.  And I can't see Kershaw going anywhere but back to the Dodgers.  That 1/3 of an inning and 6 runs allowed post season start is just NOT the way he wants to end his Dodgers career.  Coming back to the Dodgers in July or so may just be the perfect way for him to be fresh down the stretch for them.

Yes, the SP dominos are starting to fall and I could see the Twins remaining very cautious as the market plays out and options disappear from their board.  It's always frustrating as Twins fans but it's just "the Twins way."

Honestly, this seems like a boneheaded move by the Dodgers. They tend to start faltering once all of their pitchers start going down, and now they're trading for and EXTENDING the most injury plagued pitcher in the league?

I mean, Kershaw is still way better and less injured than Glasnow, seems like he'd have been a better choice.

Good luck.

Wow, guaranteed 5 years and 135M for a 30-year-old pitcher who in the previous five years has started more than 14 games once.

I'm thinking Andrew Freidman agreeing to the opt out clause in Ohtani's contract should Freidman get fired was a pretty slick move.

There's a lot of post season frustration in MLB. The Dodgers have been a regular season juggernaut and only won once. Atlanta looked like a historic franchise and lost in their first round. With their six straight division championships, they've only reached the World Series once (they won). Toronto now has the longest active losing streak in post season. Tampa has reached post season five consecutive years and reached the WS once (they lost) and the Yankees haven't made the World Series in their last ten post season trips.

29 teams are frustrated every year. 😉

That's baseball. It's much more difficult for a good baseball team to win the World Series than it is for a good basketball team to win the NBA championship, or for a good hockey team to win the Stanley Cup, or for a good football team to win the Super Bowl.
