Does anyone know if Mauer has ever been approached to be a fulltime batting instructor?  Is it something he's even interested in?  I just wonder if his approach would be something these kids today could even understand.

Now here's something I never thought I'd read in a game thread.  Someone praising Mauer's approach?  

Not a bad idea.  It obviously worked for him.  Not sure if it would in today's game or for everyone, but it certainly did for him.

Mauer's a HOF player and his approach was solid for a lot of lineups but maybe not for others.  He might be the tonic for certain batters who get themselves out, but I wouldn't want to see a young hitter lose his aggressiveness by going too far with it.
